Fate/sixth apocalypse

The wind picked up rapidly - snow was beginning to fall as well. The weather was very quickly turning into a city-wide blizzard. Temperatures fell from freezing to Arctic as the blowing snow reduced visibility to mere feet.

"Let's get to it." EDward dawns his red jacket and leaves.

"You go ahead, I'll get there." Ezio says, redawning his assasin's gear.

As the blizzard settled in, Caster looked at Maeve. "Master, we should leave. If any of the other Servants know of our location they'll be moving in soon. Even if I can defeat them, waiting to be attacked isn't a good plan to say the least." Through the window, a hulking spined form appeared - one of the Jotun that Elsa had perfected the creation of in life. More were already appearing, chunks of ice spinning into place mid-air to form armored titans made from ice harder than steel, with razor-sharp spears and swords.

Lindlie walks through the ice and snow with his staff in hand blocking most of it.

Arata looks out his quickly freezing window "We stay here for now" he orders

Norah and Archer start to make there way through the storm and to the source of the mana

Wade brings as much clothing he could without slowing down his movements and starts his way through the storm

Zia lights a fire with his staff "Cold" he says simply

Meave nods "Lead the way

Rider nodded. "Bracingly so."

Caster left and started on the way to presumably a new hideout. The Jotun were left to guard their old one - Elsa could always make more at a moment's notice and this would help keep the impression that they would still be at their base, or at least returning there.

"Caster is making a move faster then I expected" Zia says

Norah and Archer were the first to arrive at Caster/Maeve's former base. Norah projected a small clump of C4 and gave it to Archer "Knock" she says

Archer puts the C4 on the door and the two step back a ways. Once it goes off the door was just a pile of splinters "I knocked" Archer says walking inside

The explosion set something to rumbling. Behind Norah the snow erupted and twin humanoid shapes thirty feet tall emerged, the details obscured by the colossal blizzard in progress.

Edward pulls his jacket around him tighter.

Ezio takes the rooftops to follow Wade.

Archer turns around "Master, duck" he says before firing his pistol at the beasts

The pistol rounds chipped pieces of armor the size of hubcaps off of the Jotun - but it was already being filled in by the snow. And more were stirring behind them as the first one swept an enormous flail towards Archer in a horizontal arc.

Archer grabs his master by the waist and jumps out of the way "Perfect, they fix themselves"

The Jotun pursued, keeping the flail swinging around to attack again.

Archer lands and holds up his hand at the incoming attack. A thin blue wall sets itself up between Archer and the Jotun. The Flail stopped as soon as it hit the wall and with its defense lowered Archer takes out his shotgun and fires

The shotgun blast took the Jotun's arm off at the shoulder and pulverized the side of its torso. But it was already beginning to reconstitute itself. 

Besides that there was another Jotun behind them advancing rapidly with a sword raised to strike, while two more approached from the front with an axe and spear.

suddenly, there was a flash of blue light and all of the snow on the ground vapourized into a thick cloud of steam, warming the air around the cloud.

Ezio darts past the area of the battle, continuing to follow Caster.

The snow near Edward was quickly replaced and the steam almost instantly converted into a freezing cloud of fog that was rapidly dwindling.

"Lancer" Archer says "Truce for now?" he offers

Wade and Assassin continue to fallow Caster and catch up to them very quickly

"Deal." lancer replies.

Archer gathers mana in his hand and a ball of multan rock appears in his palm. He throws the ball skyward and it explodes in a shower of sparks and heat, instantly the temperature went up but it was only a small fix and it started to get cold again but the snow was halted

The Jotun behind Archer brought the sword down as the other two closed in from the front, stabbing towards him with the spear while the axe-wielder kept ready to intercept an attempted dodge.

Archer materializes his arm guard, fills it with mana and blocks the overhead attack. He brings up his other hand to block the attack with the same blue shield as before but this time it condensed into a red ball of mana. The two spears hit the ball of mana and their weapons got sucked in like they were absorbed by the ball "All your's" Archer says throwing the ball back at them

The ball exploded in a blast of pure force that ripped the Jotun apart. Archer grabs Norah again and starts to run to better cover from the Jotun. If any came close Archer disoriented them with a blast from his shotgun.

Saber continues to watch out the window of Arata's mansion. He slams his fist against the wall in frustration nearly bringing it down "This is bullsh*t!" he screams "Caster will turn this whole country into a freezing hell while we sit here doing nothing!"

Arata continues working at his table, finishing a gem he gets up "Without the proper pro-cations caster will rip us apart. Give it time"

Wade and Assassin catch up to Caster and Maeve and Wade signals Assassin to wait for a chance to strike.

There were now somewhere in the area of twelve Jotun after Archer and his Master - with the blizzard hampering the latter pair's movements they were more than capable of keeping up.

Caster gave no sign that she was aware of Assassin's presence, but she definitely had the home field advantage with the blizzard going full-blast.

Archer stops where he was and pulls out he heater shotgun. The powerful heated shells started to tear away at the Jotun. When they started repairing themselves Archer quickly through a ball of red mana in the spaces that were healing. When it exploded the Jotun went down and stayed down. All that effort and only 3 Jotun were taken out "This is getting stupid"

The Jotun gave up the pursuit not long afterward, unwilling to stray far from Caster's base.

Norah watches the Jotun go "Why aren't they fallowing us?"

Archer puts all of his guns away "There good little soldiers, never staying to far from command"

"What do we do then?"

"I don't know, its suicide to attack them and Caster directly. But we can't wait long or this storm will freeze us solid"

"She's not in that base" Lindile says from behind them

Surprised Archer turns around and puts his pistol in the old mages face "Peace archer" Lindile says "Caster has set up her creations to guard that base in a attempt to force you to waste your strength"

"Do you know where she is?"

Lindile raises his staff and a green trail leads off in the general direction of where Caster went "Ok then" Archer says putting the gun away "Lead the way"
