Fate/sixth apocalypse

Caster herself could see just fine through the blizzard and was taking full advantage of it. She was sure that the amount of mana she was using was very easily traceable by other Masters - that was just fine, since she could then use that mana in combat once they caught up to her.

Lindile leading the servants and other masters caught up to caster quickly despite the blizzard

Caster sensed their presence very quickly. "Archer and Lancer are approaching from behind." she informed her Master as she started to take action.

Behind her, minor whirlwinds rapidly formed, twenty of them in two lines of ten. Pieces of ice spun out from the surrounding terrain, down from the sky, and rapidly assembled themselves into twenty new Jotun, each one thirty feet high and wielding two weapons of ice, mostly swords and maces.

Lindile stops walking "Why'd you stop?" Norah asks

Lindile points to the approaching Juton "Crap" Archer says bring out his heater shotgun

The front ranks of the Jotun charged, the ones on the flank sweeping outward to encircle the group.

Archer takes position and fires at the starting Juton. It only served to slow them down "You know what, this is getting on my nerves"

Archer drops his shotgun and he materizes a heater grenade launcher. Any Jotun that came close was blown apart by the launcher

"Lancer" Norah says "Archer will cover you take out Caster"

Lancer turns to Norah. "F**k you, I'll cover you and you do it."

"Thats a really bad way to get a servant in a good position to be beaten master" Archer says firing another round

"Had to try"

The front ranks of the Jotun were already being replaced - but less concerning than that was the immense swell of ice and snow that was growing in size by the minute behind them.

"Huh" Archer says "Now I see why she never got any real combat"

"What?" Norah asks

"In life Caster probably just through these things at all of her problems" Archer says "But they do there job well we can't go in head on"

"Options?"

"Lancer can you make us cover?" Lindile asks

Wade gets to a nice position and takes out his throwing knives. Even through the blizzard he was able to see Caster. He throws a knife at Caster but the wind and ice make it miss its mark. The knife sails through the air and imbeds itself in Casters leg

Caster gasped, more in surprise than pain, and pulled the knife out. Thinking quickly, she threw up a five-foot-thick barrier of ice between herself, Maeve and the direction the knife had come from.

Meanwhile, the wave of snow and ice she'd built up was now rushing, tsunami-style, towards Teams Archer and Lancer. The Jotun, still multiplying, didn't seem to care.

"Well this has been fun." Lancer bolts in the opposite direction from the snow-nami.

Norah just stand there watching the snow come towards her "How did I think I could be that?" she says

Norah goes to her knee in dispar "Your right you can't beat her" Archer says putting himself between the ice and his master "But thats why you summoned me right?"

In sudden outburst of power, a huge surge of mana made the air around Archer, making him look like he was standing in the middle of a mini-hurricane "What are you doing?" Lindile asks

"Saving my master" Archer says as the world explodes in a flash of light. Every participant felt themselves get sucked up into a new spell. The light goes away and people are able to see again "What was thAT!" Norah says looking over. As she looks around and sees that Archer and her were on a flying platform, and she was on the edge looking down into the open sky. Everywhere the servants and masters looked they could see floating platforms in the open sky. Buildings connecting together making a huge city in the sky. All of the snow from Caster's attack fell off the platform that it was on and the remaining snow melted.

Zia realizes he was not in his base anymore "Rider what happened?"

Wade found himself on a flat platform with no cover of any kind next to assassin "Well sh*t" he says

Arata and Saber found themselves below a golden stature surrounded by buildings and gardens "Was this part of the advantage of sitting around?"

Arata grips his gems tightly in anger "This was not expected" he says

Lindile and Lancer were on top of a building anchored to the rest of the platforms by huge chains, it looked like it was a castle.

Maeve and Caster were on the same large platform as Archer and Norah. Maeve stairs around at the city "A reality marble? How is that possible?"

"Archer?" Norah says in surprise

Archer takes out his pistol and shotgun and looks at Caster "My name is Booker Dewitt" he says. Even though the servants and masters where in different locations they could all hear Archers voice like he was standing right next to them "What you see around you is my greatest triumph and my worst sin. This city burned long ago but it still exists in my mind, a permeant reminder of what I have done and failed to do"

From out of the clouds airships started appearing and taking positions at the servants. The buildings produced soldier after soldier brandishing the same weapons that everyone saw Archer using. There were also new things the didn't expect. Men in robotic suits making them look more like a tank then a man, and people in what looked like old diving suits but they were all on fire. Black figures carrying coffins on their backs and crows swirling around them

"These men and woman fought with me and against me as I tried to right the wrongs of my past. The loyalty inspired me, their rage made me grow ever stronger, I own this city everything and nothing. As the soldier Booker Dewitt and the prophet Father Comstock, I welcome you to Columbia" Archer says before all of the soldiers open fire.

By the time Booker finished his speech, Caster was already bringing her own magic power to bear. A dome of ice thirty feet thick encased her and Maeve. "Master, get down!" Once Maeve did so, Elsa unleashed a wave of energy, brilliant electric blue light shooting out through the dome of ice. Wherever it hit one of the soldiers it instantly froze their flesh, turning them into perfect ice sculptures of themselves. She kept restoring the dome as it sustained damage as well - the huge robotic attackers could break pieces of it off relatively easily.

"Bring in the firemen" Archer says

A unit of about 20 firemen started rushing Caster throwing balls of fire mana that were a lot more powerful then the ones Archer used. It quickly melted the ice around the dome as they got closer

Arata put up a protective barrier around himself while Saber deflected the bullets with his sword.

Zia and Rider were surrounded by men with shotguns

Caster promptly repeated her earlier "instant-ice-sculpture-garden" trick.

Most of the ones that were closest to her froze but there were a few that managed to get close enough. They grab the edge of the barrier and scream "Bathe In Flame!" before exploding in a flash of fire

Caster had a simple solution for that - she created another barrier. Parts of that barrier began to sprout Jotun as well, walking pillars of icy blades that further insulated the duo within the dome while sweeping crowds of soldiers to their deaths - the only things that really damaged them were explosives and fire and combined with their numbers and regeneration that made them extremely difficult to get out of the way.

"Keep firing" Archer orders before taking out his sniper riffle. Once he gets his sights aimed he starts to charge his mana

By this point the soldiers were being cut down faster than they could arrive.

"Bang" Archer says firing at Caster. The bullet from a fully powered mana sniper riffle went straight at Caster. The shot passed straight through the barrier like it was air and landed right near Caster and Maeve. The explotion ripped the barrier apart sending Caster and Maeve flying in separate directions. Caster was able to drag herself up, but Maeve was laying on the ground, and see wasn't moving.

Soldiers quickly surrounded her and readied their weapons

Caster had to act quickly. She held out her hands towards both Archer and Maeve. Spikes of ice the size of telephone poles erupted from the ground at an angle facing outward from the fallen hydromancer, punching into flesh and steel alike with ruthless force. At the same time, more spikes shot out of the ground near Archer a split-second later aimed straight at both him and Norah.

Archer put up blue shields protecting him and Norah. The soldier near Maeve were less killed then butchered by the ice

"We have to take out Caster's master" Norah says

"Your right I've called in help" Archer says. In the distance everyone could hear and animalistic and strangely metallic screech

Whatever the hell that was it couldn't possibly be good. The ice spikes around Maeve were reconstituted into a thickset Jotun that scooped up the unconscious Master and rapidly began walking away. Elsa, dropping into cover, decided that an escape required a distraction, and what better distraction than the Jotun she'd created as a last line of defense for her fortress at Ernordfjel?

Blasts of magic energy poured from her hands as icy limbs the size of small buildings formed, tipped in wicked claws and supporting a torso almost as large as the platform she stood upon. Plate upon plate of ice, wrapped in a thick blanket of snow, sketched a long, spined tale and a serpentine neck terminating in an arrow-shaped head loaded to bursting with jagged fangs. The pits that served as its eyes lit themselves with blue light and the Dragon Jotun roared in response to the metallic screech, firing an icy blast from its mouth at Archer and Norah.

"I think I heard of a movie about this, giant monsters popping out of the ocean, giant awesome-ass robots fighting them, what was it called? Atlantic Edge?" Lancer asks.
