Unholy Intervention: Legend of the LOL's

"So, who's going to win this one?" Wiess asks before glancing at Mark.

The sniper glanced at the princess and shrugged "No clue, both of them have the chance to win."

"What do the two of them have?" Blake says, speaking for the first time.

Mark honestly didn't know she was there "Well, Nick can beat anyone I know in a fistfight, and I'm honestly scared of what Kon is capable of doing."

"Like what?"

"His semblance allows him to manipulate sound. Imagine what he could do if he wanted to make you hear a sound so loud your ear drums blow out?"

"Basically if Nick closes to melee he'll have the upper hand but Kon can blast him away and harrass from range." Jeff paused to think things through. "I'mma give advantage to Kon here but this is really anyone's fight, not like the last one."

AS Kon walks, everyone can hear low thrums of what sound like a deep bass as Oto taps along the ground. Kon walks into the arena and stands to one side.

"Ear protection available to those who want it." Jeff declared, as a teal hard-light set of headphones materialized on his head.

"Damn it Kon! I said no!" Nick made his way down as well.

"Don't give me ideas next time. All right boyz let's go."

"To be fair you did give him ideas. Also, Weiss, Ruby, hearing protection? Kon uses sonic weaponry. You might want it." He held out a couple of sets of teal headphones.

Kon dons the set of headphones that were around his neck.

The bell began counting down and Nick adopted a standard stance. Feet wide, center of gravity low, hands out, and breathing in complete control.

"Sorry about this Kon."

"May the best fighter win." Kon says, readying Oto.

"I intend to."

"Savage." Jeff said, having forcibly placed headphones on Ruby and Weiss' heads for them. Everyone else wasn't on his team. They could ask.

"Please?" Mark asked, holding out a hand for headphones.

A pair of headphones materialized on his head.

the tip of Kon's staff glows with a bright green light, humming with unreleased sound as Kon prepares for an attack.

In a flash of movement, Kon turns Oto so it is parallel to the floor and unleashes a number of sonic bursts, propelling him around Nick, nearly too fast to see. As Kon positions himself behind Nick he turns Oto onto his friend, unleashing a wave of sound at the back of his head.

Given that the sheer volume of Kon's technique had blown the blind god's own book off the table, Jeff felt secure in thinking he'd made the right call. Not his fault if nobody not on Team JSPR had taken him up on the offer of ear protection.

Nick hated Kons pestering jumps. They were completely useless. Sure to everyone else they looked cool and the speed was impressive, but to gods like them it meant nothing. Nick knew that in a what normal people would call a fight he was the strongest out of them all. It was only when they all started throwing medicals around that the others would always come out on top.

The problem in this fight was that they had to appear mortal. Which meant for him it was in the bag. One secessul charge while Kon was in the air and it was over. However that relayed on the fact that he had to display speed equal to Kon's. Which everyone would nag him constantly if he was anything other than a slow-mo tank.

Which meant in turn that there was only one way to win, which he would do. He would have to tank it, but he had to make it realistic.

'This arena is going to crumble' Nick thought was he continued doing the one thing his been doing for the past minute or so. Fineshing up his own earplugs enjoying all the time Kon spend running circles around him. Content to remain unmoving until Kon finished up. Kon's performance was defenitly flashy, so he had to up the anty.

Content to let Kons first struck explode against and earth wall that popped out of the ground behind him. It probably made a nice little dent on the other side but that meant nothing to him. Piviting around so that his closer to the the wall and grabbing it in on hand and letting it disconnect underneath so that tectniqualy it wasn't a wall any more but a shield.

Not that anyone would realize that or really need to know.

'Your move Kon.'

the color of light Oto was emitting changed from the normal green to  a bright red, firing sound once more, Kon's attack shattered the stone shield his friend just made, Kon then launches  another barrage of sound at Nick.

"Hm? I can't hear you over your shield crumbling to the ground."

"Now we see how good his armor is, I guess? I mean with his Semblance it's probably pretty good right?" Jeff commented, mostly to Mark.

"No matter how hard Nick makes his armor, it's never going to be impervious to sound. It will give Nick a few seconds to close the distance but so long as Kon stays at range he'll be able to break through everything Nick coats himself in."

"So you think Kon's going to win?" Yang asks.

"Not necessarily, if Nick gets a good hit in it might be over in one shot. I've seen him go through the face plate of Nevermore's before."

Next to Jeff, Blake taps his shoulder "Do you have any more of those earphones?" She asks, keeping one hand over one ear.

"Eardrum preservation in progress." Jeff snapped his fingers and a pair materialized over Blake's ears, pushing her hand out of the way because Jeff was damn sure having a solid object try and occupy your hand would hurt like the dickens.

Blake nodded in thanks and continued watching the match.

Kon kept moving around Nick so he didn't make an easy target of himself.
