The SUV heads straight up to the gates and is allowed inside. It disgorges quite a few PI Security grunts; three to be exact.

Riley, Fang, and Shadow turn towards the gates before walking downstairs.

"We got company. Three PI grunts just arrived." Riley yells loudly as Shadow and Fang get ready to anbush the grunts if they get into the house.

Eric gets to the gates of the house and is about to touch them to climb them but remembers the scicrity, he sends out piggyoto "Up and over" Eric whispered

The doorbell rang, answered by the butler. Nobody was close enough to the door to hear what was being said, but it got progressively more agitated.

It seemed that Riley had been correct about someone being sent to watch over the house and Dawn...the group had just happened along at just the right time to take advantage. These three PI grunts were the ones who had actually been sent. Worse yet, the butler appeared to believe them. He was allowing them in. Flashes of white light signaled the release of Pokémon; a Houndoom, Arcanine and Persian.
