Pokémon Lavender

"It's a trap!" Desmond said.

Serena looked thoroughly confused. A minute ago she'd been ready to have Salomight, Sealeo and Ursaring smash their way through the building if she had to. This was completely out of left field.

Eric put his pokeball back in his belt, and starts walking in "Come on guys"

"But it's a trap!"

Serena shook her head, putting Ursaring's Poké Ball away. "Dez, come on. They'd just bar us from entering."

"She has a point" Eric says gesturing to the door letting Serena go first

Serena stopped for a moment, looking at Eric. "Really?" Facepalming, she went on in.

No screams, spatters of blood or sounds of Serena generally being severely injured or killed sounded from within. "What are you waiting for out there?"

Eric follows "Is it bad to show a little curdicy?"

Serena facepalmed again, for a different reason. "Oh. Sorry, I thought you wanted me to check for traps or something."

"I kinda did..." Dez muttered, receiving an elbow to the ribs.

"Smooth man" Eric says walking through the building

As they approached the office from before, they could hear muffled shouting. Two different voices, each trying to talk over the other. They became clearer as they ascended, more distinctly able to tell that one was Berlitz and the other was a woman.

"I think this is our stop" Eric says "Do you want me to knock or do you?"

Desmond knocked on the door. "Hello in there?"

The voices stopped almost immediately, followed by Berlitz inviting them to come in.

"Hello Mister Berlitz" Eric says walking in

Berlitz looked none too pleased to see them; probably understandable given the circumstances. Standing across the desk from him was a beautiful woman with blue hair, mostly pulled up into a bun. She was introduced as Jean Berlitz, hypothetically the one behind the Cataclysm. "I don't suppose you have any evidence for this claim?" she asked coolly, anger running beneath her words like a river of boiling water.

"We are not accusing anyone of anything. Merely we are trying to find out what happened. It seems however that everywhere we look it leads back here."

"Your daughter was a great help" Eric says to himself

Jean raised an eyebrow. "This in spite of the fact that our investigators - and before you claim bias, ones from Hoenn as well - went over the security footage? You stole highly experimental Mega Stones. We're not even sure what those are capable of. And you then proceeded to abuse that power and kill millions of people and Pokemon."

"Why did you create them in the first place?"

"I'm afraid we didn't. We recovered them from a chasm deep underground - that's what the excavation site you ruined was. We were trying to figure out what they could do before you demonstrated it for us."

"Do any of your staff have a Metagross? Someone with a Metagross activated the earthquake."

"I'm sure some of them do - we do employ an awful lot of people, you know. But if you'll review the footage, we have proof that the Pokemon in question was in fact an Ursaring-"

"WHAT?!" Serena fairly screamed, looking simultaneously outraged, confused and terrified.

"No it wasn't!" Dez snapped. "Are you all stupid?! How could you possibly confuse a Metagross and an Ursaring?!"

"Let us see the footage."

Jean waved a hand and a projector screen lit up on the wall...showing Ursaring Mega Evolving and stomping forward into the ground...followed by the area being filmed collapsing.

"Whose Ursaring is that?"

"T-that's mine...but that didn't happen! We were there, we saw it!" Serena shouted at Jean.

Eric steps in front of Serena and Jean to stop this from escalating "Serena, did you ever use a TM on Ursaring?"
