The sound Jack made in response to the newcomer set Serena giggling again, despite the seriousness of what Brendan had just pointed out. Desmond frowned at her.

"It's not funny, PI is planning, for whatever reason, to destroy pretty much two entire regions."

"No, I know, it's just..." Serena couldn't stop laughing long enough to tell them what it was just.

The plunger is dislodged from Jack's face, jack then turns to the giggly Serena and promptly slams the plunger into her face.

"Well that was rude." the newcomer says looking at jack.

"Would you guys please stop Mankeying around?" November asks "we kind of have a situation."

"That's what I was trying to say," Desmond said.

Serena, for her part, issued a muffled shout of surprise before grabbing the plunger handle and attempting to remove it...

The plunger head stretched visibly as Serena tugged on it but remained firmly stuck to her face. "mmph nnh!"

Brendan, not paying any attention to the game of pass the plunger in progress behind him, turned back to the computer. "I think I can upload this data to our Pokédexes. Once the police see this there's no amount of money PI can hand out that will save them." He attached a cord to his 'dex and inserted it into a socket on the computer.

"What are you doing here Rob?" Jack asks paying no attention to Brenden.

"Well k was walking by the gym, i heard commotion, called the cops, and here I am." Rob replies

Kris  wondered what all this plunger nonsense had to do with anything.

"How long will it take to download the data?" November asked "the PI grunts will probably figure out we escaped any minute now."

"The police are on their way as well." Robert piped in.

An alarm sounded from deeper within the base.

"...and that's bad." Brendan said, looking slightly ill. [If you haven't figured out by now, he neither has the Pokemon nor the temperament for battling, he's a nerdy Pokemon Coordinator.] He mashed one of the keys repeatedly. "Come on, come on...there." He snatched his 'Dex away from the computer.

"We need to leave, now!" Desmond said, grabbing Serena (who had spent most of this time in the background thrashing around trying to remove the plunger from her face) by the wrist and half guiding half dragging her out the door, Brendan following suit almost immediately.

November follows the others, keeping Snorunts Pokeball ready for the unexpected.

Jack and rob follow, "we can't get out throughthe front, cops will most likley have surrounded the place." Says Jack.

"Assuming, of course, that the PI grunts haven't driven them off." Desmond panted as he sprinted down the hall, Serena stumbling along being towed by the wrist. They rounded a corner; still no guards, evidently the guards were behind them.

"Then the PI guys are at the front door" November said "so we need to find a back-door exit."

"How did you all get in here anyway?" Asks Rob.

"That's a great question, but can't it wait until we're not in imminent danger?" Desmond said, glancing over his shoulder.

"Good point." Rob says looking for an exit.

After about another minute or so the group reached an exit, but before they could escape a Fahrenjet and an Electrode blocked their path, apparently having been sent by their Trainers to block the exits while the grunts searched. The Electrode let out a piercing Screech, causing all of them to cover their ears and also apparently serving as a "we found them" signal.

"Snorunt use Icy Wind" November said, pointing at the Electrode.

"Wait, we should discuss things this time with PI" Leo says/ is ignored by November.

"Beedrill, Twineedle!" Desmond ordered. The attack hit Fahrenjet but didn't seem to faze it. Meanwhile, Electrode froze solid, before a more piercing Screech shattered the ice and it began to glow...
