Any Zinc Used in the Machinery is converted to Hydrogen Gas, and Zinc Chloride. Any Magnesium is Rapidly converted to Magnesium Chloride and Hydrogen gas. (the Resulting Output of Hydrogen gas will cause...) The hydrogen Gas Causes small and Large Fires due to Sparks from Gunpowder being Fired, metal on metal Sparks, Flint on Steel, ect.

(I am basing this on the Chemical properties of HCl, And any other metals I didn't include would also become (metal here) Chloride, and Hydrogen Gas. Because Zn + 2 HCl = H2 + ZnCl2 and Mg + 2HCl = MgCl2 + H2, and Sodium does this. 2Na + 2HCl = 2NaCl + H2. If i have to i will Break out all sorts of these reactions Of which HCL does react with. The British begin negotiating a mutual protection treaty with France, and a seperate treaty with the US.

The Germans Develop a New Deadly Gas. Phosgene. The Gas is Color less and smells like Moldy hay. Making it hard to detect. It also takes 24 hours to take effect on humans. The germans Begin to use it in specialized canisters with a white star pattern on them. Initial Results from the new gas on the fronts of Russia are Staggering. (colorless + Moldy Hay smell + slow Death = win)

The gas is also uses a small amount of chlorine to help it move easily.

the British have little success, but do improve their air filtration system. It is now effective against all kinds of gas, and enough filters will keep the gas down below a lethal level. They are immediately installed on all British buildings. Work on Britain's airplanes continues.

The Germans are met With Near-Excellent Success. They Were able to Increase the Maneuverability greatly making the planes more agile in the sky, while speed remains only a tad bit faster, not much to work in the German's favor.

The CSA frees all slaves, with the obvious result of throwing itself into temporary political turmoil. France obligingly reaffirms its military alliance and support. Meanwhile the latter country is still shipping men and materiel to Russia.

The Nicaragua canal is just about done.

The British submit a final revision of the treaty of mutual defense with France to the French gov't for approval. It states that if either nation is attacked, the other will provide support and, if needed, sanctuary for important personnel. If either nation provokes an unjust war with another nation, the other is not obligated to defend or join in the war. A similar treaty is sent to the Americans.
