Fate/alter chasm (Mk.II)

The ice from Joseph's attack formed rapidly around Berserker's foot, freezing it to the ground. That slowed her down precisely not at all - the next movement that required her to move that foot simply shattered the ice like glass as she swatted another swordstroke away before it bisected her.

Caster raised a hand and a number of icicles the size of spears materialized in the air around her. A sweep of that same hand forward and the spears launched themselves in a salvo at Berserker - who only barely managed to dive to one side in time to not be skewered.

Glancing up and spotting Caster, she grabbed her Master (with an indignant squawk from him) in her off hand and held him up like a shield in an attempt to ward off any further strikes from either enemy Servant, even as Saber advanced again and Caster readied a second round of ice spikes...

<hold your fire, whwt the hell is she doing?> why was this servant trying so hard to kill her master?

"Joseph, what the hell is going on?"

Joseph looks over at Ikari and just realized he was watching them the whole time. "Oh, hey Ikari. How you been?"

"Well im confused as to why berserker seems to be trying to get her master. As annoying as he may be,killed. Care to enlighten me? "

He shrugs, "Her only reason is that her Master doesn't deserve to command her nor any Servant in general."

"That's a lie!" Berserker's "Master" squealed. "I'm a perfectly good Master, it's just I get stuck with the worst Servant in the history of the War! Not my fault!"

Berserker didn't respond, just held him out towards Saber, who drew her sword back to cut off his head. Caster obeyed Takeshi's command, the icicle spears adopting a vertical position and embedding lightly in the roof she stood on. "She wants to forfeit the war, I say we let her."

"Saber, stop!" Joseph commanded as soon as he glanced over to the squealer and sees her ready to attack.

"Why? Kill him and we're one step closer to the Grail!" Saber protested - though she didn't actually follow through on it yet. The Master in question was struggling against Berserker's grip, one arm raised as though to ward off the enemy Servant before him.

"True, I'm just disappointed that she would resort to dishonorable defeat is all. I still prefer we fight berserker."

"Even if she's using him as a shield?" Saber wanted to know. Berserker, for her part, growled at the obvious insult but didn't set her Master down despite his increasingly shrill and profane demands that she do so.

"For the love of- Shut up!" Takeshi holds up his staff, the end glowing white with heat, as a lance of fire rips through the air between him and Berserker, missing both of them by barely an inch in the hopes of scaring her master to shut up.

He screamed and covered his head but did shut up after that, while Berserker scowled at Takeshi. "You missed."

Takeshi walked forward, "It was intentional, I have a few questions to ask this sad excuse for a master." Takeshi holds the tip of his staff, still glowing with energy, at the master's throat. 

"Just answer my questions, and nobody will get hurt, understand?" Takeshi asks with a hard look in his eyes.

He nodded, whimpering slightly. Berserker looked annoyed.

Takeshi looks down at the master's wrist. 
"If you are Berserker's master, where are your command seals?"

"T-they're in a book my grandfather gave me." The kid's eyes were focused on the staff charged with magic power just inches from his throat. Berserker pushed him slightly closer to it - though he stopped short of actually touching it.

"Show me this book."

He hesitated, but seemed to realize he didn't have much choice. Reaching into his jacket, he produces a simple looking book with arcane symbols in gold script on the cover, then tries to put it back away.

Before he could put the book back, Takeshi snatches it from his hands, after flipping through it for a second and then throws it to the ground. he whips his staff to where the tip is pointing towards the book on the concrete, and sends a jet of white flame at the book.

"No, wait don't-!" He looks rather like someone who just watched their family get killed in front of them, trembling slightly as he stares at the ashes that used to be his Command Seals.

"That will do." Berserker dropped him and he collapsed to his knees...Takeshi and Joseph's Master's Clairvoyance updated their information on her:

Berserker - ????:

"Get out of here kid, you'll live longer." Takeshi looks over to him and sends another wave of force his way, knocking him away from the battle. 

"I said go!" 

<she's all yours.> takeshi says before jumping to safety.

The mere thought that went through Joseph's mind as he sees Ikari burning the book was that he was a complete idiot. No time to that to him now though. <Prepare to fight and also protect the quim!>

<Which one?> Saber asked him sarcastically. Caster was already summoning icicles and hurling them at Berserker - the enemy Servant now freed of her Master jumped backwards out of the way before delivering a solid kick to a parked car, sending it end over end at Caster and forcing the fox-tailed Servant to raise up an icy barrier to deflect it.

Almost immediately afterward Saber attacked once again, but this time Berserker's increased parameters meant she could meet her on far more equal ground. Rather than resorting constantly to defense, she struck again and again with both the blade and hilt of her sword, blows deflected by Saber's blade or bouncing harmlessly off her armor. Their weapons striking one another was creating visible shockwaves in the air now.

Joseph grabs the exMasrer by his collar and drags him away from the fight and hids him behind a building.

"Joseph, I suggest that for tonight, and tonight only, we form an alliance to defeat Berserker, what say you?"
