"Well," Sharon starts, putting a hand to her chin in thought "Maybe someone that powerful can't be controlled so easily. Maybe he only acts if he's forced to. And if his master uses a command seal to force him he won't take to kindly to it."

Assassin nodded. "Perhaps. Or perhaps they just followed your strategy - they were, after all, split into two groups already. Likely they were just scouting."

"If you know what you're facing the rest of a war can easily be won. We know Saber, Lancer, and Rider. But Berserker, Archer, Caster and Assassin are witch is a problem. What bothers me is that we didn't see anyone that even remotely resembled an assassin in our fights. So where is he?"

"Likely he was doing his job. After all, there's no point in possessing the Presence Concealment skill if you don't make use of it. I should know."

The twins muttered something to each other that sounded like Spanish and hurried off to read the blackboards.

Along with his ball of string and rapiers and plate mail. Gereon allow left of list of the most important and their intended purpose. he wished it wasn't to much to ask.

"Possible, but ultimately unlikely. Assassin of Teal would have to possess an EX-Rank in Presence Concealment, and frankly I'm not entirely sure that would be enough. Servants are rather difficult to keep hidden under the best of circumstances, let alone in the middle of a concentration of wards, Bounded Fields, magical defenses and an entire enemy team's worth of Masters and their own Servants."

Van Helsing allowed himself a wry smile. "Even if he did, he would be slaughtered. Assassin-class Servants are the weakest in direct combat - again, I should know."

The door bell then rang. Gereon was pleased as he went out the front door and opened the gate to let the caterers in side and was pleased that they were willing to just leave everything in the kitchen so that they left almost as soon as they came in so he could did it himself as well as turn the defenses back up. He then looked around at the kitchen that was completely filled to the brine with food.
...
Gereon paused misjudging how much food that has now made the kitchen almost impossible to walk through. He then slowly made his way to the ball of string and began getting familiars to speed up the process and do his work for him. A few seconds latter silver humming birds danced around the kitchen cooking breakfast along side him As he whistled a german bubbly.

"True, but overestimating my current chances based on past success would be a terrible way to lose the War." Van Helsing remarked, holding the door open for Sharon chivalrously so that the two of them could go collect breakfast.

Speaking of breakfast, back in the kitchen, Mira and Mordred both appeared, the former looking mildly interested at the familiars cooking the food while the latter just rolled her eyes and seated herself at the table.

They were quickly followed by the return of the twins, then Fiore and Caster.

"Pancakes? Do you have those?" Mira asked. She noticed the way that Gereon was looking at Mordred (the Knight of Treachery herself was not paying attention, which was probably a good thing) and said nothing.

"Pancakes i think i have those things, they're probably here somewhere. Ah here we go pancakes. one moments please."
A little bit latter Gereon brought out breakfast for everyone. "So before we begin did everyone read the black bollards I Left out. If not they're in the foray. Gereon then past caster and gave him his gift basest sitting it at his feet. with his written letter telling him that it's for latter and for fun/challenges.
"But for now would you proofer to fight defensively or would you like to march up to the temple and take it to them? Because if you wish to say here and do nothing or was can charge up to the cave with only one exit and lay siege to our foes. Personally I would like to go stop so faces in. The temple is surrounded by a forest I plan to turn that into an army, with siege engines. So that when they come out side their little cave not only can we flank them but it'll be nice if they have a few trees falling on their heads and quick sand under there feet. So eat up and we'll have vote all writhers can stay and rest of us can have some fun. I assume none of you are Wichsers so lets go. We got work to do."
Gereon then tor of his apron, grabbed his rings, some tried and pilled into his porch leaving the passenger side door open.
"Im sorry some can ride with me everyone else I'll have to ask you a favor and drive the four cement mixers. It'll make sense once we get there. trust me." Gereon said flicking his thumb to point behind him as he put on his monocle linking and summoning the largest eagle ever turning the silver a black as the sky above him. That should allow him to avoid being fold by vines illusions.

***Time passes***

The White Faction had gathered at the base of the stairs leading to Ryuudou Temple - Gereon having selected this as the likeliest site for the Teal Faction to be using as their base. Matou mansion was in ruins, Tohsaka Manor was damaged and mostly defenseless, and the only two other sites were a traditional home in the northwestern portion of the city (which was abandoned) and the Church (which was also abandoned).

Of course, Assassin of Teal gave his faction plenty of warning. Caster had conjured up a small army of Dragon Tooth Warriors (prompting Troy to hum the tune of "Spooky Scary Skeletons" for some time thereafter, to Rin, Caster and Saber's annoyance) and Berserker had deployed a significant number of her own wraiths - these were set to ambush from either side of the staircase as White Faction approached. Archer of Teal had chosen a position giving her as good a line of fire as was possible given the density of trees. The rest of Teal Faction was scattered around the temple courtyard, which had returned to some sense of normalcy now that Medea had taken over from Fafnir - her idea of Territory Creation was somewhat more organized.

Amazingly, even Rider of Teal had gotten off of his chair and was currently hovering a couple hundred feet above the Temple on what was apparently an ancient Hindu spaceship, spectacularly disregarding any idea of hiding Teal Faction's base. Troy had, upon realizing that Rider was basically going to watch, offered him popcorn. Gilgamesh declined that.

Changing focus back to White Faction, Lancer of White, with her defense-shattering Noble Phantasm, was going to spearhead the assault, accompanied by Berserker and Rider (who had appeared out of nowhere and declined to give his True Name, much to the annoyance of everyone on the Faction other than the twins, who commented that his armor was cool). The others wouldn't be terribly far behind - except Saber, who, with her powerful defensive Noble Phantasm, was staying close to the Masters.

The second night of the Great Grail War had begun, and battle was about to be joined in earnest.

Aaron was watching over the battle field with his sniper riffle (Enhanced by Caster). Next to him, Vince was sitting with his staff in hand ready to create illusions at a moments notice. Alice, per Aaron's orders was about five miles away in one of the cars looking over the battle via camera's that Aaron had put up. She had a full tactical view of the battle field and was away from harm. Everyone of the teal masters had ear pieces so that they could all be connected while fighting.

As the group approached Aaron gave Vince the go ahead. Vince nodded before getting a link with Assassin "Assassin, take out Saber's master. Then by my first command seal after you have completed the assassination of Saber's master you will escape to allied protected territory as fast as you can."

After he gave the order the first of the red command seals disappeared from his hand.

Aaron nodded in thanks before talking to Caster "Begin."

****

Sharon was hanging back with Archer and Saber. She looked over the temple before putting on her gloves and activating her runes.

I should be able to thin the herd before they even get close for their ambush but i don't see any masters or servants other then rider. so when you're ready let's reach havoc."

Gereon had barely finished speaking when Kairi, standing just in front and to the left of him, suddenly suffered a bad case of spear-through-the-ribcage, courtesy of the suddenly-visible Assassin of Teal. His body hadn't even hit the ground before Assassin bounded over it and made for the cover of the trees. Already Saber, Archer and Assassin of White were moving to attack him. A spear shot past, snapping a pair of trees like matchsticks.

He almost made it, too - except that Van Helsing put a crossbow bolt right into the back of his knee. The injury wasn't life-threatening, and it wouldn't have even stopped him. All it did was slow him down enough. Saber of White already was showing the signs of severe mana deficiency, but her sword easily cut through Assassin's armor, slicing him nearly in half. On Vince's end, he felt the mana drain that kept his Servant in the world simply cease to exist as he evaporated.

Of course, Saber didn't have long either. Her physical form was wavering - holding up a hand, she discovered she could see through it.

Takeshi's blast of flame was effectively a line of blue-white fire almost as bright as the sun. It shot between the trees and came very close to hitting Gereon, only to harmlessly deflect off Rider of White's greatsword.

Caster nodded once, sending her Dragon Tooth Warriors pouring out of the forest towards the assembled White Faction.
