Fate/Impetus II

He was crossing the bridge when his Command Seals abruptly heated up.

<Archer, there's a servant nearby, any idea who it may be?" Takeshi asks, flipping up his collar.

<No. But they may be hiding in Spirit Form.>

Walking towards the far end of the bridge served to increase the reaction from Takeshi's Seals. Whichever enemy Master it was, they seemed to be stationary. Enforcer training combined with that evidence meant the other mage was liable to be in a building on the other side of the bridge.

Takeshi crosses the bridge, looking towards the building.

"Of course it is but I must ask, how would you like the treasure presented to you? As nothing but a mer human I am unworthy to give such a gift. However there are other Heroic sprits in the city, if they know of your might then they will deliver the grail to you."

Going by his Command Seals, it appeared that the other Master was currently in a coffee shop on the street corner just beyond the bridge's end.

"I know of these other Servants. But I do not need them to deliver to me what is already mine." Rider wondered why Master of Caster insisted on endlessly pursuing this thread.

"I don't know, what kind do you want, because I'm guessing your not strong enough to raise a shield. How about i just get both of you a change of clothes."

"Sounds like a good idea" Vince agreed. He was in no mood to carry a shield in any case.

"So you have clothes enchanted with defensive spells?" Kirika said.

Takeshi walks into the coffee shop, orders a drink, and sits down a table across from the enemy master.

The other Master was a man Takeshi hadn't seen before - probably Master of Berserker, given that Master of Rider was no longer in the War. By his look, the Enforcer could place him at his mid-to-late twenties and obviously a foreigner - no Japanese man had blonde hair and blue-green eyes. The enemy Master was dressed somewhat inconspicuously, wearing a t-shirt and jeans under a hooded jacket.

He glanced at Takeshi once before returning his gaze to the menu above the counter.

Takeshi gets up and walks over to his table, standing over him.

Now he had Master of Berserker's attention. After a moment of Takeshi standing by his table, he spoke. "What, aren't you going to take my order?" Up close, Takeshi could see through the Perception Filter over the man's torso - concealing a bandolier.

"Mind if I join you?" Takeshi asks.

The enemy Master shrugged. "Eh. So long as you pay for your own drink."

"Fair enough." Takeshi sits down across from him.

The other man ordered a coffee and muffin. As the waitress walked away, he glanced at Takeshi's Command Seals. "So, an Enforcer taking part in the War, hm? Sounds like dereliction of duty to me."

"Call it a special assignment." TAkeshi says, as the waitres comes back, he orders a mug of black coffee.

"Right, right. Takeshi Uizarados, am I right?" He didn't touch his coffee as it arrived.

Takeshi narrowed his eyes. "I see you've done your research." he says, trying to hide the shock in his voice.

"I take pride in my thoroughness. I wanted to know what I might be up against, here in Japan." Pulling the wrapper away, Master of Berserker took a bite from the muffin. "As a show of good faith, I might as well tell you my name too. Troy Forthill, American hedge mage."

Takeshi takes a sip of his coffee. "A pleasure to meet you, and may we face each other on the field of battle."

"I look forward to seeing my Servant take on your Archer." Troy agreed.

"And how do you know I may have an Archer class?"

"Like I said, I like to know what I'm up against. And you're allied with the Tohsaka Master, who has summoned Servant Saber - Beowulf."
