Infinite Stratos: Zero Hour

"I saw Cecilia and Laura flying over the Pacific and decided to join them. They said they were fighting Phantom Task." Charlotte said slowly - Mira had blown her stack the last time it was implicated that the Peacemakers were terrorists and while she wasn't here, Sarah might do a scary accurate impression if pushed.

Inara walks around behind Rin and readies the morningstar. "WHERE'S THE REBEL BASE?"

"Well at least your not hurt, Mira could have killed you without a second thought. But anyway, other then the shady stuff with the spying, I think your not a threat. We both are fighting Phantom Task, so we might as well work together"

Rin did a double take. "W-what the f***!?"

"What makes you think that? Everyone else seems convinced that we're Phantom Task." Charlotte wasn't complaining, certainly, but what was making Sarah think differently?

"I think I've been around Mira too long, look, I don't think you're guilty of anything so I'll ask again, what the hell happened?"

"I think that your telling the truth, I know what its like to have dad's that expect a lot out of you" Sarah stands up and goes to the door "I'll go get you your IS back, we all need to talk"

Sarah opens the door "Just so you know I don't trust you completely. I just know what will happen if you betray us" she turns to face Charlotte "If you do, I will turn the one of the most advanced war machines on you and if you think about running I will find you, make you die tired and I will fill you with the greatest amount of bullets the human body will take before I put you out of your misery. Are we clear?"

"You know exactly what happened! We went to that stadium to stop Phantom Task and found you. Which in turn makes you three members of Phantom Task!"

Charlotte met Sarah's eyes for the first time in the conversation. She wasn't scared of the American - not really, certainly not like she was of Mira. "Please don't...tell the others."

"We thought you students were Phantom Task, that's why you were brought to the stadium in the first place. " Inara says, lowering the morningstar.

"You expect me to believe that?!"

"I almost can't believe it either, last time I checked this wasn't a bad script."

"I won't" Sarah says

"...Merci beaucoup."

Rin scowled at her. "Why are you still trying to convince me I'm part of Phantom Task?"

Sarah goes out of the cell but doesn't let Charlotte out because of obvious reasons and heads to the lab. Once she was there she find Lander hunched over the IS units standby forms. He looks up from his work and smiles "Sarah! Just the girl I wanted to see"

"What is it Lander?"

"Well you know about the Golums?"

"Who doesn't? Whats your point?"

Lander turns and brings out a IS core, but it was different then a normal IS core. It looked like it had a USB outlet to it "These cores have been modified to be fitted into any and all IS units, even remotely controlled, thats how the Golums had no pilots. So that got me thinking, if these cores can go into any IS then why don't we try a little experiment" Lander holds out his hand "I need your IS"

Sarah wasn't expecting that and she dubbled back "OK WHY?"

"I'm going to put two extra cores into Nova" Lander said with a straight face

"Ok, again, WHY?"

Lander rolled his eyes like it was obvious "More cores means more shield energy, more shield energy means more power output. I plan on doing this for all of the peacemakers "

"So your giving the three most powerful war machines that can destroy countries on there own more power?"

"Yes"

Sarah takes off her ring and gave it to Lander "Nothing just checking"

"Germany must be desperate to join Phantom Task. I'm sad about having something that reminds me of traitors and mercenaries." Derek says as he looked into the file on hand, he startted to chuckle. "Went up against the Peacemakers." Derek looked up at Laura with a smirk. "How did that work for you? Not very well since your IS was both nearly destroyed and taken from you."

"Excuse me for a moment." Inara suddenly says, leaving the cell and shutting the dor behind her, she goes to find another one of the peacemakers.

She finds Sarah "What do you need?"

There was the faint sound of a theremin from Cecilia's room as Inara passed it.

Laura simply kept staring at Derek, showing no reaction whatsoever.

"I think we've been had, apparently we're phantom task and we thi8nk they're phantom task, something's up."

"I got the same story from Frenchy"

"Ok so what's the plan from here?"

Mira promptly arrived. "Plan with what?"

"Before we start discussing that, please tell me there isn't a corpse in that cell"

"No, I just strapped Alcott to her chair and set a projector up playing the Doctor Who 2005 revival. Seriously, how do you not see that show if you live in Britain?"

"Wait she hasn't seen doctor who? Thats just wrong"

"My point exactly."

Meanwhile, back in the abandoned interrogation rooms, Rin, just to be contrary, had taken a seat on the table instead of the chair. Charlotte was just staring blankly off into space, apparently thinking.
