Infinite Stratos: Zero Hour

Derek smiled when he received the names of the casualties as he flew.

"Well its been fun, had a blast. But time for this Phantom to disappear. Orimura, whatever you are teaching these girls...it works, don't you dare change a thing. General Ward, it was an honor to meet you and serve under your command, even how brief the service. Girls, don't let time change you too much. Just live life your own way. And goodbye." Derek said before he disappeared and started flying to the USA.

"One bites the dust" Orimura says to everyone but Derek

After reporting in to a military base Derek flew across the US under the radar and only stopped when he needed to before he flew across the pacific in route to the IS Academy.

"Well, I guess he's off to fight fires."

The team got back to the base quickly after that. Orimura was there talking to Ward when they got there. A group of scientist came up to Mira "Ms Mira, we have been asked by the general to repair Advent for you"

"Good, because he probably did so nicer than I would have. Here." Mira handed it over.

Derek was flying hard and didn't think about early warning sensors for the Academy until he was in radio range.

"This is Shadow Phantom requesting permission to land on IS Academy grounds. Repeat this is Shadow Phantom requesting permission to land." Derek called to the communication tower as he approached the Academy grounds.

"This is control, you have been granted permission. Land in the area's lighted by the x" says a voice over the coms

The scientist take Advent and leave to go work. Sarah walks up to Ward and Orimura "So whats the word?"

"For now nothing. You are sure she said operation complete?"

"Positive"

Ward thought something over for a minute "Take the pilots to their rooms. You all have erned a rest"

"Yes sir" Sarah says walking off

"And tell them they all did a nice job despite letting you and Mira doing all the work. The lazy Sh@#'s" Orimura comments

Mira kept watch over the team of IS technicians, having briefly gone to the kitchen to procure an electric mixer.

The other three, with nothing else to do, hung about in the hangar bay.

"Should I ask why you have an electric mixer?" One of the tecnitions asked

Sarah goes up to the three "So this place and Ward Yeah or neah?"

Mira only grinned.

"What do you mean, exactly?"

"Kill the enemy before saving anyone" Sarah says

The scientist finished fixing Advent and they left the room and had a delivery bot give it to Mira

"The IS isn't supposed to be used for killing."

"Depends on ze mission."

Sarah raised an eyebrow "IS's not used for killing? You better have a long discussion with who ever made Nova Angel"

"and whoever made this." Rin says, deploying her giant "F**k off " sword.

Charlotte looked to be thinking it over, but Cecilia just folded her arms. "Just because you can beat someone to death with a cricket bat, for example, doesn't mean that it's intended to be used as a weapon."

"You've never been in a life or death fight by yourself have you?"

"What was your first clue?" Rin asks.

"This is the twenty-first century, not the Stone Age." Cecilia shot back.

Derek lands in the zone he was told to land in as he looked around at the Academy.

"Quieter now then with those girls here, but I might as well help out where I can." Derek says to himself as he reopens the com channel to the control tower. "Control, Shadow Phantom had a successful landing. Awaiting a way to assist the Academy. Over."

"And in the 21st century being a spoiled brat doesn't help anyone" Sarah says

The once functioning control tower said nothing, all Derek got on the coms was static

"Just what are you implying?!" Cecilia fumed. Behind her, Laura smirked and Charlotte sighed.

"Maybe something really obvious" Sarah says

"Just like an American to go hurling petty insults about like an uncultured savage."

"Yes, I am a uncultured savage. I didn't have a parent hold my hand and give me everything that I wanted. I had to work, you do know what work is right? So yes, I was born a uncultured savage and 17 years later, I'm one of the fastest distance sprinters of my generation, I'm part of the group of three best IS pilots on the planet. I earned my way to where I am, so tell me mis Alcott, when have you ever put everything you had on the line in fight for what you believe in?"
