"They would. I'm sorry, but the sad true is that even with all of our magic resources we can''t fight the muggles head on"

"Do we have to fight the muggles?" Verne asked. He didn't particularly like the idea of hurting anyone, even in practice sessions.

"In there eyes we just commited mass genocide against them. They will leave us no choice"

Lil buried her head in her hands.

Dimtir did nothing but sit in the corner of the train car trying not to lose it

"Is there any way we can warn the targets?" Gene asks, trying not to let the panic show.

At that moment all of the trains passengers felt a sudden shaking. To the left of there flight path a large blue energy ball could be seen in the distance

McCoy's eyes went dark with sadness "Its to late"

"Christ above." Gene says in sheer astonishment at the blue enrgy ball. He then bows his head in sadness.

"Was that...New York?" Lil asked in a hollow voice.

Gene suddenly runs to the window. "No, it couldn't have been New York, that's where my family is!" Gene's expression turns from shock to sadness when the horrid truth sets in.

"Oh my God, Gene..." Lil wasn't quite sure what to do, so she hugged him. Her hair was hanging over half her face again. She ignored it, tears slipping down her face as she tried to comfort her friend.

The train flies over what was left of New York, smoke rising from burned out buildings and cars on the street filled the air. they fly over what was once a butcher shop among other restaurants. Above one of the shops was half of a sign that read Carona's"

McCoy puts a message to the conductor "Take us away from the damage. So no one can see"

the train speeds up and soon they arrive back at the school

Lil didn't bother moving until Gene moved.

Gene stands up and walks into the school. "These bastards will pay for this." he mumbles to himself.

Lil didn't say anything, her hair still half-covering her face. She went back to the Lovecraft dorm and began collecting her things.

Gene does the same. Upon entering his dorm room, he accidentally knocks over a framed picture that was on the table next to his bed, the frame shattered and broken glass fell everywhere. a picture of Gene's family lies on the floor.

Since Gene had is back turned he didn't know who else was in the room "So. Did you like the show?"

Gene stopped mid motion from picking up the picture. "Why the F*(k are you taunting me, you bastard?" he asks through gritted teeth.

"I'm not here to taunt you. I am here to ask you if you liked the show. So I say again did you?"

Gene picks up a large shard of broken glass. "I'll show you how much I enjoyed it you son of a b*^ch." Gene proceeds to whip around and lunge at the figure.

The figure simply melted into smoke and reformed at the other end of the room "Such anger. But why focus it on me. I did not launch the spells in fact I have only killed one person in this whole year. I think he was a professor here"

"Just who the hell are you?" Gene asks before lunging again, glass raised to the figure .

Lil heard Gene scream at the guy and quickly ran to the room. She stood there for a moment in the doorway, shocked to see this person again, before quickly drawing her want and pointing it at him.
