"Yes, they do. I don't know why they don't just attack. Get going."

"Cool your jets old man I'm going"

"Whatever" Crewe started looking over the controls "we should take off now before the administrator comes for us to do the paperwork."

"You my good friend think the way that I like, free of annoying paperwork"

Just then the administrator came running down the runway "STOP! I need you to fill these forms!..."

"AND WERE OFF" Harry says as the ship goes into the air

The French ship was off too, gaining rapidly as soon as the two ships were up to speed. The other vessel came alongside the smaller Merlin, revealing its name emblazoned on the starboard side: Durendal. In the much better light, without the spotlights to obscure view, it was plain to see that while the ship bore the unmistakably French fleur-de-lis in place of LRA roundels and tricolors and it flew only the French Republic's flag in place of the LRA one, it was heavily armed indeed; six gun ports to a side, each a cavity a full ten meters in diameter with a large-bore cannon mounted in a carriage affording them roughly ninety degrees horizontal field-of-fire, forty-five degrees elevation and sixty degree depression. Visible in the gun cavity were scurrying crewmen tending to the guns.

A crackle of feedback announced the return of the loudspeaker, this time speaking in accented English and not bothering with the French. "Prepare to receive boarders for inspection. You will not be harmed unless you attack."

"Where have I heard that before?" harry says sarcastically

The Durendal put an incendiary round over the Merlin's deck, the shot streaking across the sky over the airship. "If you do not reduce speed we will use force."

"Captain they make a very tempting offer"

"They should have inspected us at the dock. Tell them that we will let them inspect at Amsterdam, which is roughly a half hour away."

harry sends the message

The Durendal's response was another incendiary shell.

"Again captain they are making a very tempting offer"

"It is too dangerous to board in midair and secondly I don't trust them enough after our last pirate visit. They were on a French ship as well. We will land in Amsterdam if they want, or else they can leave us alone." Crewe said.

"I don't think they will give us the luxury of waiting till Amsterdam"

"Well, if they do attack, I think the Dutch ships who are probably within earshot are not going to look too kindly on the French for interfering in their commerce. The French wouldn't want the Dutch to go against them."

"Lets see how that goes"

The cannons on the French ship lowered. They were now pointing directly at the Merlin.

"I don't think they are amused"

"They are pirates. Make for Amsterdam as quickly as possible and see if there are any ships on the horizon that could aid us. If only we can survive another 15 minutes" Crewe muttered.

Harry did what any poilet would do, he floored it(metaphorically speaking) towards Amsterdam

The cannons fired, launching clawed harpoon-like projectiles onto the smaller British vessel. These were connected via stout cables to the Durendal's frame and it used them to pull the ships together.

"Well we lasted not 15 minutes"

"We have the heavier ship. Turn off all engines."
