Zeppelins & Zodiacs RP

A huge zeppelin descended on the London air-dock. Steam powered vehicles hurriedly made their way to the zeppelin, letting the passengers get off and the cargo to get picked transported to waiting families. The Zeppelin had recently been bought by a retired captain who after about a week of retirement used all his savings on it. Several "Now Hiring" sign were hung up seeking potential crew members to help fly the zeppelin.

Harry was walking down the street when he finds the help wanted sign. Immediately he sighs up

A few other people have signed up as well and are standing by the Zeppelin. The Captain comes up to Harry "so you must be the pilot."

"Unless you see anyone else who fits that bill" Harry looks around absintmidedly "NOPE no one I'm your guy"

The Captain ignores that remark and proceeds to ask Harry more about his skills "and you have any experience flying a Zeppelin?"

"I can fly anything as long as its steam powered"

"She is steam powered" he nods at the zeppelin. Obviously he is proud of it. "now the question is have you any experience with pirates? We will have to fly through some rough areas."

"Am I allowed to shoot them?" Harry asks

"What do you think? It is our zeppelin or their airship."

"Then I have more experience then I would like to have in the time I have lived. SO do I get the job?"

"That depends on if you are scared of flying through a war zone. I have been commissioned to fly to Rome. However as you probably read in the newspaper (the captain emphasizes this doubting that Harry actually can read), you'll know that we are at war with the French. We will try to fly through the German states, but the French are already taking them over piecemeal as we speak. Still want the job?"

"Huge chance of death, small chance at life and possibly a total life sentence as a prisoner of WAR. Still less work then collage" Harry says

"Hmm. I expect effort out of you" Crewe said "your pay will be $5 a day."

"We get raises weekly right?"

"No. Be glad that you are paid more than the average worker" Crewe replied.

"Ok then grandpa I'll take it. Now where do I go to see the controls of this bad boy"

"The first thing that you need to see is a manual on respect!" Crewe snapped. Grandpa! The nerve of that guy.

"I touched a nerve didn't I?"

"Remember that here obedience is the key to success" Crewe reminded his new employee. He led Harry to stairs leading into the zeppelin. Around them workers [more accurately dumb muscle] were loading the zeppelin up with food and other provisions.

Harry looks at the men loading the ship "You have a lot of faith in this ship if your going to take it to a war zone"

"I am not going to fly into a war zone. I'm going to avoid it. However if worst comes to worst we will need to be able to fight."

"Well then your going to love my line of work" Harry picks up a newspaper that was on the ground "War escalating, No s@#$"

"We will be taking off as soon as possible. Hopefully we can complete the first leg of the journey and get to Hamburg before the French do. Otherwise we'll have to risk landing in Prussia and having our airship confiscated by Prussia for the war effort."

"And that would be bad right?"

"Of course! Prussia doesn't care that we are allies. No their precious country comes first."
