Ring of Fire [Pacific Rim]

After a moment of no response, Tyler opens the door. There's no one in there, of course...with the PPDC having been shut down, the Shatterdome's higher-ups had been forced to pack up and leave. In effect, by all appearances the Rangers themselves were in charge. Arguably the most suitable to take command would be the foreman and he had deferred to the Rangers, particularly the Kaidanovskys, in pretty much every decision on what to do.

Tyler walks around before finding the Kaidanovskys. He walked over to them and his body language was screaming 'something that needs dealt with before the next attack'. Tyler waited until his Fellow Rangers gave him permission to speak.

"If you have something to say, say it" Mr Kaidanovsky says

"Trent, my partner and brother, is unfit for combat. The last battle caused trauma and became as useful as a nervous wreck if he already there himself...I have another partner on standby and all I have to do is call and the replacement will be here within the hour. Permission to eject Ranger Trent Fangs and call in Ranger Mark Gearson as a replacement?" Tyler said seriously, those who knew the twins knew that they were inseparable but Tyler wanting Trent out meant it was serious.

"You have permission, get your co pilot here as quickly as possible"

With that Tyler first went to the nearest phone and called the Ranger that need to be here to fight. After the call ended, the twins were last seen fighting each other before Trent left the base. Half an hour later a man in a dark coat an sunglasses walked up to the front of the base. His blond hair gave the impression that this new arrival wasn't awake until recently and his sluggish posture only further proved it. He went to the nearest intercom.

"Um, I was given orders by Ranger Tyler Fangs to report here about half an hour ago." The man said into the device.

"Your co pilot is here"

"Alright lead him to the sparring arena and I'll take it from there." Tyler said before walking away. Those who were curious about what was going to happen stuck around and saw a impressive fight that ended in a tie leaving both fighters winded. "Get the picture?" Tyler asked as if the fight ment more than it looked.

"Yeah, but why not try to help him?" Mark asked as he sat down.

"Ejecting him was helping him. Didn't you get the fact my brother lived through something like having your arm torn off? That's his only arm left Mark!" Tyler yelled at the man before putting his hand on his hip. "You in or out?"

"Like you even need to ask, deal me in!" Mark yells proudly.

"Perfect we have another full team. Whats the statice on the Jeagers?"

"Should be ready come sunrise tomorrow morning."

"Lets hope that its in time"

The next morning the Jaegers had all been restored to full health - even Titan Atlas with its missing arm. The maintenance crews had done a hell of a job, working around the clock through the night to have the giant machines ready for the journey to Oblivion Bay.

The plan seemed to be that the Jaegers would be deployed in the area around the scrapyard to protect it from incoming kaiju while the Carryall helicopters were hooked up to some of the abandoned hulks.

"Cherno and Crimson typhoon will take point. All other jeagers assist if necessary"

Atlas helps the helicopters as much it could.

"Atlas aiding in collection." Tyler reports in.

"Leave the choppers to do their job Atlas, we have out own work to do." Marley says over the com.

"This is Mark in Titan Atlas, what use could a one armed jaeger be in a fight? No offense Tyler but being crippled is a death wish out here." Mark says as Tyler's laughter could be heard.

"Relax guys, he is just upset that his arm is currently useless. Besides the faster we get the decommissioned jaegers the faster we get into fighting shape." Tyler says before they clear the channel.

"All of you, stop bickering and engage neural handshakes"

"Handshakes have been engaged since you strapped in. Atlas, pull your heads out of your ass and get up in line with the others - we fixed the damn arm. Cherno, be advised three kaiju signatures have been picked up to the southeast."

"Understood"
