Pokémon Lavender

Suddenly all the group's pokedex's short out.

"For all we know the Pokédex only got the files deleted because it was hooked up to the PI computer - " Desmond said.

"Hey, mine just died." Brendan interrupted, frowning at the diminutive machine.

Jack piks his back up. "So did mine."

Desmond looked at his. "Same here."

"Me too." Serena said. "What's going on?"

"Mine as well, maybe the files came with a virus, and since we all had them, the virus could have deleted. Them." Says Rob, examining his pokedex.

"Only Brendan had the files, though." Serena said, tapping on the screen of her Pokédex, trying to get it to respond unsuccessfully.

"I can't find mine" November said, looking disappointing.

Riley smiles at the fact now everybody knew that they had something transmitted through their pokedexs.

"Who knows what else could have been planted?" Riley says/asks the group.

"Except, why would they short-circuit if they were supposed to be tracking devices?"

Blaze ponders a moment, and then just decides to burn them all anyway.

"Well, whatever. We should still burn them though, now that they're useless."

Magmar looks excited.

"OK" November said, not really caring about what the group decided on "but let us do the dumping or burning now, because we are wasting a lot of time talking."

"Yah, you really are." Kris said in response.

Jack puts his pokedex back on the ground.

"Fine." Serena placed hers next to the others. Desmond shrugged and tossed his on the pile as well. "At least I've got my old one..."

Brendan looked reluctant.

"Is there any other power source in you pokedex besides the main battery?" Riley asked Brenden subtly so only Brenden would hear him.

Blaze starts the fire, assuming any remaining pokédexes will be thrown in as the fire is going.

"Smoke 'em if you got 'em." Blaze says, as Magmar inhales deeply.

"Magmarmarmarmarmar!" Says Magmar, launching a stream of fire from his mouth setting the pokédexes ablaze.

"Now that that is done, what are we going to do now?" November asked.

"Head to Vermilion City. If we don't have proof of this nobody will listen; the police are paid off by PI. The only thing for it is to stop them ourselves." Desmond reasoned.

Brendan hadn't burned his Pokédex and was continuing to fiddle with it. The screen flickered briefly before deactivating again.

"Why Vermillion City?" November inquired "do they have their HQ there?"

"I think that is a fantastic idea. We will talk with the people that run PI and we can solve everything without fighting PI" Leo said.

(Lazyness question, who did the 2 grunts hold knives to?)

[Serena and Brendan.]

Serena shook her head. "No, that's where they were going to set off the earthquakes from, remember?"

"We could warn people." Rob suggested.

"Who'd believe us?" Desmond said.

Serena, meanwhile, approached Jack. "Look, I'll apologize for laughing at you if you apologize for sticking the plunger to my face, okay?" She offered him a handshake as a gesture of sincerity.

"Hmmm ok we're good, for now." Jack trades grips with Serena.

At the words "for now," Serena frowned, beginning to doubt whether or not Jack actually meant it.

Brendan, meanwhile, had nominally fixed his Pokédex...at least the screen worked anyway. "Guys, I'm not going to be any use, you should go without me. Besides, if you can get another one of these Pokédexes then I can connect to it and if you need me to I can hack stuff over that connection. I think Professor Birch in Littleroot Town has some that he gives out..."

Riley watches Brenden work with the pokedex.
