ok then I shall begin when ready...

Jack Grahm is sleeping in late underneath a tree, while his camp around has ben ransacked and stuff is everywhere and or stolen. Except for his 2 pokeballs which are in his backpack he is using as a pillow.

Here is my character...

Appearance: Red hair, wears overalls and a heavy looking backpack

Abilities: None
Equipment: A backpack with Pokeballs, food, medicine, and usual trainer stuff with a pickaxe and other mountaineering equiptment
Personality: Loves geology and fossils. Also quick to temper.
Habits: None of consequence.
History: Comes from Oreby (Sinnoh) and is researching for the fossil museum.

Here is my first character. I may make another later, if no one minds.


Full Name: Jonathan "Blaze" Swift

Age: 17 (looks more like 14)

Race: Human

Gender: Male

Appearance: Shoddy brown sackcloth clothes. Unruly hair about a shade lighter than his clothing. Lopsided grin. Think "peasant", or "medieval monk" and you've probably got the right idea.

Height: 5'6"

Abilities: Can light most things on fire. Also seems to inexplicably attract fire-type Pokémon.

Equipment: A small draw-string sack with pokéballs, food, and matches. Lots and lots of matches.

Personality: Pyromaniac. Usually quite distracted by whatever he's trying to burn right now.

Habits: Burns things. Usually not important things, but sometimes... well, accidents happen.

History: He was born and raised in Lavaridge Town, where the sheer volume of criminal mischief he was involved in brought him to the attention of Team Magma, who recruited him. But when his distracted nature, and dislike of their methods came between them, he wandered on, even leaving the region.

Occupation: He's a pyromaniac. Do you think they'd let him have a job? Actually, the surprising answer is yes. After Team Magma, he found legitimate work in Fuego Ironworks when Mr. Fuego noticed his talents, and paid him to study how different things burn to create fires of different temperatures, and therefore can be used to create different grades of iron and steel. However, Mr. Fuego is a relatively wise man and realized that Jonathan would not be happy if he could not wander (and that if Jonathan became a well known Fuego employee, the Ironworks could probably be sued for a lot of money), so Mr. Fuego offered him a small stipend while he wandered, so long as he came back to the Ironworks to collect it (and do more research).

one of the pokeballs, which was balanced on the pack, rolls off and releases quilava. Quilava, seeing his master's possessions stolen, does his best to wake up Jack.

Jack yawns and rubs his eyes.
"What is it Quilava?" He says in a tired grumble. When he sees the ruined camp, Jack jumps up and starts panicing, frantically gathering up what little supplies he had left.

after he makes sure he has everything he could find, he sees a trail of rice balls (donuts) leading away from the camp. he puts the stuff in his pack, and with quilava, follows the donuts to whoever ransacked his camp.

There is the sound of sudden rushing through the forest nearby, something large moving quickly towards Jack and his Quilava.

"let's get moving." Jack says picking up Quilava and running faster away from the noise.

Suddenly a figure darts out of the underbrush and a butterfly net descends on Jack's head. "Gotcha! You're mine no - wait, you're not a Pokémon!" The speaker was a spiky-haired teen wearing round glasses, a denim shirt and cargo shorts. The Pokéballs he carried looked odd - teal instead of red, and with crisscrossing black lines on them.

"No I'm not a pokemon, and neither are you." Jack says throwing the net of of his head.

"Huh. I could have sworn I heard a Pokémon over this way." The teen scratched his head, looking slightly embarrassed. "Sorry. My name's Desmond, you can call me Des if you like."

"That pokemon you heard could have been my Quilava. I'd like to stick around and chat but I have some stolen goods to track down."

"I can help, if you like! I know these woods better than anyone in Hoenn!" Desmond proclaimed, puffing out his chest and generally striking an impressive pose. It failed, thanks to his scrawny physique but at least he tried.

"Sure, maybe you can catch the thief with your net, come on." Jack says with the assumption this guy will be sticking around for a while.

Desmond, holding his butterfly (or would it be Butterfree?) net at the ready, nodded and began following the trail of rice balls.

"see anyone else around here that might have taken them?"

Meanwhile, up ahead, a tree bursts into flames.

"Uh...no. Not lately, anyway. It seems that everyone's up in R - WHAT JUST HAPPENED?!" Desmond's jaw fell open at the sight of the tree bursting into flames.

"Let's check it out." Jack says walking faster toward the tree.

Des quickened his pace as well, moving toward the tree.

Novembers Snorunt was avoiding being returned to the Pokeball, running a zigzag pattern while a tired November was forced to run behind it. Snorunt saw the trail and naturally the fire and decided to follow the path.

Meanwhile, crashing through the undergrowth behind November was another large being.

Jack cups his hand in front of his mouth. "Hey Hot shot, cool it already. You're going to set the entire forest on fire!"

Snorunt stops hearing the crash. An enthusiastic November, who didn't hear the crash, finally catches Snorunt "Got you!"
