The crowd shies away from David, who instantly races past, trying to spot Dezenn "where is that cursed thief..." (Rolling to see if he can spot her)

A drunk Sir Edmund had managed to make his way to where David stood, and blocked Davids vision by hugging him. Anybody in the immediate vicinity of David could have sworn that the temperature of the tavern had suddenly increased due to Davids anger. David tried to shake of Sir Edmund in vain "Get OFF you blasted BOZO!"

After travelling through the sewers, Octavion and Anastasia exit and walk through the rough side of town. Soon, they reach the Rusty Sabre just as the chaos started to happen. Octavion looks through the window and laughs at the sight of the idiot Knight hugging someone like David. "Man, even I wasn't that drunk when I got arrested!" he says between laughs.

Anastasia looks in and also laughs at David's expression.

David pushes the knight away "Now see what you've done. You managed to give that prisoner the perfect opportunity to get away, and now I don't even know where that $#@!-er is!"

A random guard goes up to David "perhaps you should let him sober up."

"Good idea. Throw him in the coldest cell and give him bread and water. I am sure then he'll sober up" smirked David, before adding "and get some guards over here. Tell them to look for a woman with a red dress. She can't have gotten far."

Dezenn, who had no small amount of experience in avoiding the guards, had already changed out of the dress and was now wearing a rather generic set of clothes as she made her roundabout way towards the judge's housings...

A group of guards approach Dezenn "have you seen a woman in a red dress?"

Octavion and Anastasia spot Dezenn being approached by the 3 guards. They walk over and Octavion says, "There you are, old friend! Where were you? We have been looking high and low for you since the party last night!"

"Have you seen a woman in a red dress?" The guards question the duo.

"Um, yeah, we have." Anastasia says, somehow thinking they are talking about Dezenn. She points down to the market and says, "Thataway."

(She's lying. Rolling to see if she convinces the guards.)

"Thank you, Miss." The guards say and quickly rush off to the market.

Octavion and Anastasia quickly walk along with Dezenn to the Judge's housing. Octavion takes a look back and sees the guards hassling one of the merchants in the market who was unfortunately wearing a red dress.

*An hour or so later...*

"She slipped through our fingers again? You combed the city over and over again, but did it occur to you that she might've changed her dress?..."

"Of cour.." one of the commnaders tries to interrupt.

David continued on without paying any heed to the commander "Of course you didn't! Why do I even pay morons like yourselves? Does it amuse you to squander the cities money on your amateurism? For your troubles there is a drunk idiot in one of our cells, an escaped thief and probably the wrath of the judge. Believe me she doesn't want to hear about your failures...[several outbursts later]... so this is how she looks, go find her and this time don't fail me."

"So what's our entry plan?"

"Let's see," Octavion says, putting a hand on his chin. "We could try scaling the walls. Or- if there is a backdoor- we could try to pick its lock."

His voice takes on a more sarcastic tone after that. "Or perhaps we could try the less subtle approach and blow up the front door. that should end well."

Dezenn giggled at that last remark. "Well, we're bound to be seen if we try over the walls, so I'm for the back door."

Anastasia walks around the massive building to the back, but sees no back door.

"Thrice damn it! How will we get in now?"

"Blow it up, maybe?" Octavion says.

Anastasia begins patting the white stone wall for some reason...

Nothing happens.

"No secret door, from what I can see." Anastasia says.

Inspiration suddenly hits Octavion. "I think I know how."

"How?" Dezenn asked, somewhat miffed.

"When we were in that cave, we saw the vampire form of the judge." Octavion begins to explain. "My guess is that was not just one cave, but a whole network of them. If I am correct in assuming this, then another question arises in my mind: if it is a network of underground caves, then there must be more entrances leading to this network in various parts of... whatever this land is. My question is, if the judge was in the cave network, then how did she walk outside the city to the entrances without being seen? In either of her forms, she would've been spotted and people would be talking about it right now. From the conversations I heard in prison and the chatter in taverns before that, this judge is said to never be around commoners unless they're in her court. So it'd be plausible to say that her mingling with the commoners would cause gossip that would be around for a long time."

"Ah." Dezenn was nodding now. "You think there is a passage directly from the caves to inside her villa?"

"That's what I'm saying." Octavion says.

"Brilliant!" Anastasia says. "I never expected such intelligence from a Spartan!"

"Come on, let's go!" Octavion says, leading the way to the gates.

"You know I saw a woman who looked like what you described, but she was with two other people..." one of the guards noted

"Two other people? Soon there will be a forest of accomplices! How did they look...[the guards give description]...I don't believe it! That tax dodger and the other prisoner are running right 'round our noses. They wouldn't be here unless they had a specific reason, after all they would fear the guards!" David said.

"Could they be looking for money" an officer wondered.

"No the city coffers are pretty much empty because our king has gone to too many battles. No they have another reason" David replied "Do you know which direction they went?"

"They went east."

"Interesting, the mayor lives there, but I don't think they have a quarrel with him...wait. The judge. They are trying to destroy justice! We must get there at once" David concluded.
