The arrow hits Ophela in the shoulder.

"There's only one way up," Octavion says. "Anyone see a ladder?"

Ophela turns to face the arrow's owner "I see, you are hiding. You must either be stupid or a...uff"

The Queen shoved Ophela, bolting for the door screaming "Guards! In here!"

The two guards stationed outside the room rush in and freeze in terror as Ophela shows her fangs. Thereupon Ophela with blinding speed launches herself at the first guard and with an efficient swipe knocks the guy out "Humans are so fragile"

Meanwhile at the party, nobody is aware of the commotion in the Mayors office

"Nope. Maybe you should give me a boost. Or Anastasia; we're the lightest here, by appearances."

"Sounds ok to me."

"I can do it." Anastasia says.

"Alright." Octavion says, cupping his hands to giver her a boost.

She steps on his hand and he holds her in place while she reaches up and tries to pick the lock on the trapdoor...

The young man once again loads his crossbow and fires at the judge...

"Dammit!" Anastasia says. She looks at Dezenn, steps down, and says, "Can you pick this God-forsaken lock?"

The arrow once again hits the Judge in the arm.

The arrow hurt the Judge, making her stagger. The remaining guard took the opportunity to attack Ophela with his spear.

Meanwhile the Queen was racing along the hallway to the party screaming.

The spear buries itself in Ophelas' chest. Ophela turned into a bat, unable to hold her vampire form and flew out the window to lick her wounds.

"That takes care of that." The young man whispers as he sneaks back through the passageway to the secret entrance. He goes through it back into the party.

"S. Gods. You're going to offend plenty of people if you think there's just one." Dezenn said, stepping up onto Octavion's interlaced hands and producing her set of lockpicks...

The member 'Mycrodeeth' has done the following action : Roll the dice

The lock clicked open and Dezenn cautiously lifted the trapdoor open just enough to examine the surroundings.

"What do you see?" Octvion asks.

The young man has just returned to the party to see that nothing much has changed. People were still in their drunken revelry, Julios was still being chewed out by David, and all that.

[Luft, what does Dezenn see?]

The young man approaches David and salutes in the way he's seen guards do it.

"Sir," he says. "I have troubling news: the Judge happens to be a vampire and has just tried to kill the Queen."

"Did you just say 'vampire'?" Julios says as his eyes bug out, his skin pales, and his breathing- as well as heart-rate- dramatically increases. He is also visibly trembling.

(Assuming that Dezenn is looking at the party she will see the below commotion)

"Yeah right, and I am the king" David snorted "you know the penalty for wasting valuable guard time right?"

The Queen comes screaming into the party, running toward David "HELP! There is a vampire back there. She may have killed my guards..."

Everybody looks at the Queen in deep silence and then direct their gaze at the King to solve the issue. However, before the King gets the chance, the Mayor transforms into his vampire form and the leading government officials follow suit. The King is then dismembered. Screaming and chaos erupts as the vampires take begin to take down the humans. A group of vampires make their way towards the Queen and David.

"$#@!" David muttered.

"Gods above!" Dezenn said in a startled whisper, staring in semi-horrified awe at the spectacle before her. On the one hand, she'd just seen the Balese king torn asunder...she wasn't particularly attached to the city-state's government, but political instability could have bad effects on her guild's business. Plus it was just violence on a scale one didn't see every day, even in her line of work.

On the other hand...those were a lot of jewels just laying there, practically asking her to take them.

The young man (his name, I've decided, will be Nord) sees Dezenn and turns to the Queen and David. "Your majesty. Sir. Get into the secret entrance and get out of here! I'll hold them off!" he says, pushing the Queen into the trapdoor. He wasn't exactly sure why he was doing this, as he was nothing more than a common thief.

Octavion pulls Dezenn down just before the Queen falls into the cavern. After she falls, Anastasia helps her up and says, "Are you okay, Your Highness?"

Seeing the sight before him, Julios screams like a little girl and runs into the courtyard, where he runs into a couple of vampires. He manages to bribe them into letting him live- in exchange for his utmost cooperation with their regime, the vampires won't kill him.

"I won't be defended by a petty criminal" David said, raising his longsword "I am sworn to protect the King, you guys escape."

"Well the king is dead now." Nord says. "Now you need to protect the Queen. Get going!"

He proceeds to try to kick David down the trapdoor...

And he was grabbed by the ankle and pulled into the air by a vampire. He fires a few arrows before he is torn to pieces.
