The Crossroads

Flash entered the meeting room first and saw Super Man and Wonder Woman sitting in chairs. "We have some angery guests and please hold back the urge to fight right now. There is a really fragile peace between both sides right now." He says before the people following him slowly filed into the meeting room.

Suddenly the satellite rocked under an enormous impact, the screech of damaged metal reverberating through the room.

"What the heck was that?" Iron man asks regaining balance after stumbling a bit.

<Something struck the station.>

Outside, an asteroid had slammed hard into the satellite, ripping an enormous path of destruction through it. Sirens were going off throughout the structure.

"Damage report! How bad are we out here?" Flash yelled as he got back on his feet.

<No casualties. Watchtower functionality remains mostly online, no critical damage...oh dear> A colossal starfish-like entity had appeared outside the satellite

"Whatever you do, don't get a star on your face!" Flash screams as he prepares for an attack.

"Tell us what's going on here, or this won't be the worst thing to happen to your base." Iron man says in a loud modulated voice.

"Starro. He's a parasitic starfish that -" Jade broke off the sentence as two Leaguers stepped around the corner, each with a starfish attached to their face. Green Arrow and Zatanna.

"Get the star off them and do'nt get starred or your friends will kick your butt into next year!" Flash says as he blurrs and decks both Green Arrow and Zatanna hard enough and fast enough to be a one hit knock out. "Any questions?"

Unfortunately, as Flash is speaking, Zatanna cries, "Elbasid s'hsalF repus deeps!" As such, when he runs towards them, Green Arrow lands a glue bomb arrow smack in his face, followed by a regular arrow that pierces his shoulder

"Hawkeye, try to take out the starfish with some arrows, I'll go and see the damage to the station." Iron man powers up his jet boots.

Hawkeye strafed to the side, trying to line up his shot so the arrows wouldn't go through the Starros into the victims' heads. Meanwhile, the original Starro wrenched the satellite out of orbit, nudging it towards Earth.

Flash was using his undamaged arm to try and remove the glue near his mouth and noses after letting a muffled shout of pain out. He looked like he was almost sufficatting.

Thor wrenched the glue off of Flash's face as he and the others prepared to attack. Unfortunately, before they could, the whole satellite jolted horribly, knocking them all to the floor in a sprawling heap. "That's not good..." someone commented rather unnecessarily. It's hard to tell who from the floor.

Suddenly a steady roaring sound began to fill the station, emanating from outside. Just as the group was sorting themselves out, the satellite bounced violently again, this time knocking out many of the lights and severing the corridor they were in. Aside from the player characters, Hawkeye was the only one to make it into their section of the corridor; the others are trapped, separated from the players by a bent metal wall.

it was dark in their side of the corridor, except the light coming from Iron Man's uni-beam. "Jarvis, pull up the feed from satellite 14." Iron man opens his hand, palm up, and from the light in his hand comes an image of the station and what is attacking it.

Iron Man's image feed showed the past couple minutes of what had happened to the Watchtower. Some sort of immense starfish, like the ones on Zatanna and Green Arrow's faces but king-sized, had knocked the station out of orbit before being knocked away itself. It was currently doing battle with something small flitting around it (and apparently losing) while the satellite began re-entry into the atmosphere, surrounding it in a wreath of orange.

'"Well that's new." Iron man says studying the holographic star fish.

Red hulk stands up and drives a large red fist into the metal wall hoping to get a hole through it.

Red Hulk's fist smashes a hole into the wall, revealing a passage (not the one from earlier) that is blinking with emergency lights. It has a display pointing in the direction of the escape pod bay.

"escape pods, let's get out of here."

The station jolts violently, knocking the party to the floor again. "Everyone move!" Hawkeye shouts as they get back to their feet, sprinting down the corridor.

[Mycro if you are proceeding with having the satellite land in Gotham, this post is relevant and permits me to re-enter this roleplay, if not, then ignore this post]

Bruce Wayne gets an alert from Alfred warning of the falling Satelite which is going to fall in (or close to) Gotham. Wayne alerts the city and emergency evacuation of the area is issued.

Iron man hacks into the satellite's systems unlocking the escape pods.

The party makes it to the escape pods with no time to spare. As the pods jettison, the heroes have a disturbingly good view of the satellite, wreathed in a halo of flames, disintegrating in the atmosphere. Then the parachutes deploy and in the abrupt jolt they lose track of where the satellite is going. It becomes apparent, however, that the group themselves is descending more or less on Gotham City while the satellite will fall somewhere to the west...
