The Crossroads

Flash turns to the others behind him.

"Can we please show these people some respect? They are just investigating an attack. Just like we would if our base was attacked." Flash says as he turns to Techno. "Sorry about that she has used one of three strikes, if she goes through all three then... well I'll think of something to shut her up." Flash says with a mischeavious gleam in his eyes. "So why not talk somewhere that we both have some power. A city where both sides are known."

Huntress gave Flash a funny look. "What the hell are you talking about, 'three strikes?'"

[By the way, Blindguy is temporarily off the forum, so his characters fall back under my control.]

Iron Man, ignoring Huntress, spoke to Flash, "Which is a great idea, except none of you evidently existed until all these other cities appeared. I mean, come on, this is more than a little suspicious, guys. Do I need to replay the news footage?"

"I seem to recall Mister Speedy here being one of the attackers." Hawkeye growled, not quite aiming an arrow at the Leaguers.

"Take a chill pill Hawkeye, the three strikes are for both sides not just Miss Angermanagement issues back there. Iron Man maybe we can try having both sides meet on equal ground. So we don't have the same problem of miscomunication like we are suffering right now." Flash said as he looks outside into space. "I wasn't thrilled with being up here at first. But it grew on me."

Huntress scowled at Flash. "Who died and made you god, exactly?" she demanded.

"We're not going anywhere, pal. Either you come up with a decent alibi or we start remodeling." Iron Man replied.

"Listen I can't give you an alibi because we only respond to calls for help and assistance. Huntress there are things that we both don't know about these Avengers but we need to tread lightly. They are as dangerous as we are." Flash says as he tries to keep peace between both sides. Still sending a distress signal to the heroes being accused for attacking the Avenger Tower. "Just lets keep calm and try to hear both sides of the story.

"You've heard our side, let's hear yours." Cap said in a low voice, clearly getting tired of this whole thing. Iron Man's faceplate slid down and locked into place.

"We can't give you an alibi because we don't know what happened!" Jade blurted, desperately trying to stall the angry Marvel heroes.

"You expect us to give you time to furnish your lies?" Thor literally thundered, the sound of his shout rolling through the station like a storm front.

"We expect you to be reasonable!" Steel shouted, brandishing his hammer in response to the Thunder God's belligerence.

"Your attack in New York claimed dozens of innocent lives." Mister Fantastic said darkly.

"Someone has to answer for that. " Citizen V drew her sword as she spoke.

Flash walked over to Cap with a serious look on his face.

"You said that I was one of the attackers. Then take me to SHIELD. Let my friends here try and find the other accused. Then with luck this will be all settled out." Flash said aloud before smiling. "Better to have somebody in custidy for the press. If not then you will be regretting that you passed this up. By the angry people down there." Flash finished by pointing out a window towards earth. "What will it be?"

"We're not going to let you just take five of our members!" Huntress shouted, adopting a combat-ready stance.

"Agreed. Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty?" Jade's hand were surrounded by globes of green light.

"You will be too busy to stop me." Flash says as he sprints faster than anybody can react and came back into the hanger after slaping Huntress and Jade with clean plungers so it stuck to their faces. He had one more and he watched Steal. "Do I have to put one on you so I can leave with these guys?"

Huntress spouted a string of muffled curses and began tugging vigorously at the plunger stuck to her face. Jade, however, easily removed her own plunger and glared at Flash. "I'm going to pretend you didn't do that. Flash, you know you didn't attack New York!"

"Gives them somebody to question and get as much info about the enemies that came with us." Flash says as he watches both Steal and Jade.

"What's to question? You weren't even there!"

(hey guys I'm back.)

Iron man and Red Hulk fall through the ceeling.

(They were both already there.)

"I can testify to Flash, he was with me fighting Whiplash at Bludhaven, do any of you know anyone with shap shifting abilities, if so that sounds like a good place to start." Iron man says, "I think we should try to talk this out, I mean, how do you guys think it's going to look if the people see their heroes attacking these supposed heroes?"

"Why the sudden change in opinion, Stark?"

"Well everyone knkows I'm Iron man, what would I look like for attacking their heroes, and don't think you guys won't get any backlash from it either."

Flash shrugged before remembering one shapeshifter. "We have a Martion shapeshifter but he went MIA when the attacks started. I doubt that he even ported with us." Flash says as he lookes at the others behind him. "Has anybody seen John recently?"

<I am here.> A voice sounded in Flash's mind.

"Great, do you know where the others are? Our friends that are being accused of destroying a tower in New York. I can't reach any of them." Flash says aloud but he knew that the Avengers didn't hear a thing.

<Superman and Wonder Woman are here. Batman and the Green Lantern are not.>

"Send those who are here to the meeting room on the fourth floor. And call those who are not here back to the tower. ASAP" Flash says as he turns to Iron Man. "If you and your friends would follow me." Flash said before walking towards the fourth floor meeting room. "Don't attack or you will be sorry. This whole satilite will fight back if you try to take any of us."

Iron man reluctantly follows Flash.

There was some muttering about Flash's mental stability, but ultimately the group followed him anyway, passing a neutral-looking Steel, a glowering Jade, and a still-struggling Huntress.

As Red Hulk passes Huntress he reaches out a large hand and plucks the plunger off of her face with ease, dropping it to the floor.
