The Crossroads

Iron man flies upward to avoid being hit by more lasers.

(I am back from traveling! I shall join again as soon as I catch up with reading the last 7 or so pages...)

Flash appears on the teleporting pad and notice's the alarms going off.

"Oh, brilliant." he said in a not amused tone of voice. "Right when I was trying to call sombody from the comunication room, the whole place gets attacked!" Flash says as he runs through the halls and stops at the hanger door. "Iron Man, why are you trying to destroy the League's hq? And who are your friends?"

"Why was your team attacking our HQ?" Iron man asks still dodging lasers.

"Security, these people are guests. Issue a temporary stay pass to them all." Flash yells before the turrets stop firing. "If you wanted to talk about that mimick attack on both sides, then we could have met on Earth. Besides, I have to make a call soon. And oh yeah, those weren't my teammates. Like Whiplash at the Titans East tower, there are also look alikes of me and all the others from my side." Flash says as he turns to the guy with the US colored uniform and the A on his forehead. "We all have look alikes. Don't we Cap?" Flash said as he turned back to Iron Man. "You should have been leader of this team Iron Man."

"Thanks but I have my own team to lead." Iron man lands back on the ground next to cap. "What did he mean by, "We all have look alikes don't we cap?"

Flash turns to Captin America. He then smiles.

"He can tell you that. But I must ask you to either leave or be forced out by the other heroes on this satalite." Flash smiles as he presses his comunicator and sent an S.O.S. to Batman.

Iron man turns to cap. "I don't know cap, what do you think?"

"I think what he's trying to say is that it wasn't him who attacked the Tower, it was a lookalike." Cap said. He didn't look too convinced.

"Anybody can claim something like that." Ms. Marvel supplied.

"Do you have any proof that this wasn't you?" War Machine asked Flash.

"I'll give you proof." Iron man says as he opens his hand palm side up, revealing a hologram of the news footage showcasing the 'heroes" demolishing the tower.

"Yeah I was there not at your base dealing with Whiplash with Iron Man then Hulk came and we may be on good terms right now. I don't know? But I wasn't the one that attacked your base and though I can't help the others out of this mess, I can offer you the intruder exit. Either you get back into your ships and fly away or we throw you out." Flash says but he stopped for some reason. "Oh Cap can you do me a favor? When you get back to SHIELD can you have Nick get ahold of me we need to talk."

"Take us to the others." Iron man says as he fires up his repulsors in case things go down.

"Sorry consulting hours are between three and five in the afternoons and only leaders of countries or military powers get to meet the heros. And they are on assignment right now. A blackops kind of deal. I couldn't help you even when I wanted to. Sorry." Flash says before truning to leave the area.

"Not all of us." When Flash turned around, he saw Steel, Jade and Huntress standing in the doorway, glaring suspiciously at the intruders. "Flash, who are these people and what are they doing here?"

Iron man chimes in. "WE are the avengers, and we are here because YOU all decided to demolish our base, and (he gestures toward the large jet) theese are the thunderbolts. Wait, who are you?" he says as the news footage is still playing in his hand so the new people can see what happened.

"Some fellow Justice League members. We have multiple friends aside from the big times, me included. I'm meaning the origanal members of the League. The people that are being framed in that news brodcast." Flash says as he turns to the people behind him. "Lets be friendly to our guests until they attack, then we'll send them home with a few bruises. Put the satilite in yellow alert and have the hanger on a standby red alert." Flash turned back to the Avengers. You have no idea of who you're messing with. Go home without a fight because we are ready and willing to defend our base of operations!" Flash said as the turret walls reactivated and started locking onto the Avengers but not firing. "Leave or be kicked out."

Iron man powers down his repulsors and lowers his other weapons. "We'll leave if you can tell us a bit more about this guy Deathstroke, I think I'm seeing a pattern here. Flash, you remember the really good hologram we saw back at the tower?"

Cap spoke up. "I don't think the guys who attacked our tower were holograms, Stark. For one thing, they were solid." He looked at Flash and the other Leaguers. "You claim that you and these other four were framed. You're gonna need to provide some proof of that if you want us to believe it."

"You want proof? I'll give y-" Huntress snarled, starting forward, only to be stopped by Jade grabbing her shoulder.

"Whoever did this knew I would be away from the Towe fighting Whiplash, but turns out he was a robot. Whoever sent him could have sent the look-alikes of you guys."

[Whiplash was real, it was Deathstroke who was the robot.]

retract my previous statement about whiplash.

"I remember back at the tower we fought Deathstroke, and it turns out that he wasn't the real deal. Do you guys think it's possible that along with the robo-deathstork, there could be robo versions of us, or the leauge by any chance?"

Who's Deathstork?

"It's possible, but Batman definitely was not a robot." Cap said, having punched said Batman and therefore knowing that he was flesh and bone.

'Master assassin, good technology, not as good as mine though." Iron man says in a casual tone.

(On an unrelated note, happy 4th of July everyone)

"It seems awfully likely that you guys were the ones responsible, but this wouldn't be the first time we have dealt with copycats. Anyone you know who would have done something like this?"

"You know, assuming you still don't want to admit to it and all that." Techno said, looking bored.

Huntress spat something extremely rude regarding Techno's mother. Jade gave her a warning look but Steel just looked amused.
