Morty starts to speak, but stops, pulling out his Pokégear. Opening it, the group can hear him speaking to someone, before hanging.

"Well, whatever you did over at the Rocket base has riled them up. Apparently, there is a bunch of grunts at the south entrance."

"I assumed as much, it was pretty bad."

"How many?" asks May, releasing Grotle from her Pokeball.

(Just a reminder Numbers, your Grotle can evolve.)

"About ten initially, but more are showing up as we speak," Morty replies, walking towards the door.

(Wow, my Grotle can evolve again!)

Grotle begins to glow, turning into a Torterra. May, a little surprised says "well, we can either try to fight them, hide or run. I'd suggest run for we don't know how many there are."

"Just a suggestion, but can we send a pokemon to the entrance to do recon?"

"well that depends, I am the only one who knows about that machine and, if I wanted to, recreate it, how much would they want me back?"

"At this point, running is not an option," Morty says, "Ecruteak is one of the few places we've managed to keep Team Rocket out of and I don't plan on changing that."

"In that case we should fight them now, before more of their grunts join" May said

"I agree, and what is this resistance I keep hearing about?" asks Waren as his Ralts starts to glow, and after a few seconds, the glowing stops and it has evolved into a Kirlia. "Woah, that was quick."

Waren looks at Kirliah. "You ready for a little fun?" He asks with a slight grin.

Kirliah nods in agreement.

"No Waren. you are to much of a target. they get you then more shadow pokemon get created. We are already having difficulty with the ones you already created. You have to get out of the city. Either-" Dragon stops mid sentence then smiles like he has an idea. "You should get captured Waren." Dragon says as he smile stopped. "That is the only way you will get out of town. But they are already looking fo me." Dragon stops mid-explanation to look at Aaron. "Why not another grunt?" Dragon asks as he points to Aaron who was slightly smaller than Dragon. "All we need is either a Durant or another grunt pokemon."

"Wait, if I got captured, wouldn't they take me back to the base and make it even harder for me to get out again?" Waren asks as his Kirliah becomes disappointed about not getting to battle.

Dragon face palms himself.

"I'm going to have the Onix boy wear my uniform an sneek you past the Rockets and meet up with us later Waren."

"Ah, ok i see now." Waren says also face palming himself for being too lazy to stop reading mid paragraph.

Dawn spoke up. "Aaron doesn't really look old enough to pass for a Rocket grunt, though. I mean, at best they'd assume he's really inexperienced and try and 'help' him escort Warren back, so that wouldn't work."

"How about this, we go with Dragon's plan, and if the grunts get wise, Kirliah can us confusion on them."

"Or Kirlia could end up using confusion on us, so we can't fight the grunts..."

"She's gotten us out of tight jams before."

"We could find female grunts and there are secret teams of kids working for the Rockets." Dragon said after seeing Dawn's point. "And you need that pokemon's ability to teleport if anything should go wrong."

"What are the chances that it will go wrong?" asks Waren

Dragon chuckles to himself as he turns to the people involved in the plan.

"We going for it or do you have any better ideas? I'm all ears." Dragon asks as he scans the group.
