Paradigm Shift II: Official Hero Boogaloo

Which is exactly why Monolith asked. When push came to shove, you needed to be ready to do something, even if it means doing something you're not proud of.

"I won't force you, but if you're willing, I'd be glad to have you on board."

Sarah accepted the offer after brief consideration "So what's next? Your website was a bit unclear on the specifics. Like for instance the training - am I going to receive any?"

"Interesting interesting. " Sonorous says,  "We could use someone like you on our team. I do have one question though. Why Impetus? "

"I'll give you an honest answer. I believe in handing out justice. You might say why didnt I join the Protectorate? Well because they dont fight for justice. They fight for politics. They fight for a government who system is inadequate, many times have the evil and wrong triumphed over. I;m sick of it, and I was hoping this group has the same view as mine."

"That's the kind of talk I like to hear from a potential recruit. You're aware of the potential danger involved in joining us correct?"

Monolith nods, "It won't be anything groundbreaking, but we have a space where we can practice. I'll be more than happy to help you get a grip on whatever you're working on. Along with that, I have a friend who could probably think of a few things to help you out."

"I wouldn't be here if I didn't think I can handle the dangers of joining now would I?"

"Fair point, well my man, I think you're more than qualified."

"Thank you. I really appreciate the opportunity to join. Are we heading to Impetus' base of operation or would you have to discuss with the others first?"

Tom pulls out his phone and sends a text to Monolith

"Yo Mono, bringing the new guy back to FA.' 

"Follow me." 

Tom stands up and gestures to the door.

Monolith glances at his phone and mentally sighs.

Of course Tom would use that.

Pocketing the phone, Monolith gets up and holds out his hand.

"If you're willing, I'm heading to Impetus headquarters. I would be honoured if you'd be willing to follow."

Grant stood up and heads for the door, waiting for Sonorus to lead the way

Tom and the new blood head back to the fat angel.

"Of course" Sarah said. To be honest, she was exited to see what a superhero base would look like.

Monolith smiled under his mask, the bar was a nice front, but the tinker basement... that was a good start.

The pairs arrived back at roughly the same time - the bar itself was largely deserted as a natural consequence of Monolith's absence.

Monolith leads the new member in the back and down into the base of operations. Opening the door, they were greeted with the sight of a tinker tech-enhanced hideout with more computers and other electronics than you would think you could fit in the small space.

On the other hand, that also meant Uber and Leet got to see that the new member was female.

Sarah wandered into the small room, impressed by the computers/electronics, taking a moment to take it in. At the same time she concentrated on not accidentally using her powers - for this would probably be among the top 10 worst places to forget about her powers. After a moment she noticed Uber and Leet - waiting for Monolith to introduce her as she awkwardly stood behind the larger figure.

Sonorous and the new dude head inside. "Welcome, to Casa Del Impetus."

"A bar? I never would have guessed."

Monolith leaned against the nearest wall without anything sensitive. A second later, he removed his helmet as a sign of trust.

"Welcome to Impetus, first and foremost, I'd like you to meet Uber and Leet, our specialists on almost everything PR related. Uber, Leet, this is Sarah."

"Well not all of it, check this out." Tom leads him down to the tech area to meet Uber and Leet.

Sarah decided to return the gesture of trust by removing her rather rudimentary mask and smiled "Pleasure to meet you."

Uber and Leet still had their masks on. Uber raised a hand by way of greeting - currently playing some video game involving the use of soup as hot lava, by the look of things - but Leet, who wasn't required to look at the screen to keep playing, actually managed to look up to see the new arrivals. "Sarah? So is that your cape name or what?"

Grant walks down and first thing he saw was the game and when it was best to press the cross button.
