"Sorry, a misunderstanding. " Takeshi writes some notes down on a pad of paper.

"To be fair, I'd bet the words in question are in ancient Hebrew. Do you know ancient Hebrew, Archer?"

The door slammed unceremoniously behind him. Saber evidently sensed his confusion and dismay: <What happened, Master?>

takeshi

<There's two of them, actually. One of them's a real stocky guy in armor, he has some kind of flail. The other one's a girl, has armor that's a lot fancier and kind of useless-looking and she looks nice...oh, she's waving. Hello!> Takeshi got the distinct impression Caster was waving back at her.

Takeshi forced back the vein appearing in his forehead. 

"The sooner you cooperate and  allow me to examine the object in question, the sooner I will be out of your way."

"No," Archer admits.

Sigyn blinks and looks at Troy "I've never gotten him to admit he doesn't know something. How did you do that?"

"That's not nice Master." Archer says.

Sigyn looks at him questionably "But if I know, I'll figure out more about you by helping you with the things you don't know. Is that so bad?"

"Covering for each other's weaknesses is one of the greatest strengths of working in a team. For instance, Rider can bench a train car. I cannot. By the same token, he's a dumbass. I am not."

"Up yours, Master." Rider said dryly, seemingly unbothered by the insult.

Saber didn't say much else. The slingshot was easily purchased with little fanfare. The question was, now what? It was only around lunchtime.

Joseph placed the slingshot inside his innner coat pocket and headed to the movie rental store, in hopes that the Master he met there was still there.

Takeshi writes some things down on a notepad and puts it away. 

"Thank you very much, that's all we were looking for. Sorry to trouble y9ou, good day to you both." Takeshi tips his hat and starts out.

JOSEPH

As it turns out, he was. He was currently looking through the documentaries on old war machines, mostly planes. In his hand was what looked like a newly bought game console with several games.

He glanced up when Joseph came in "Hello again."

"Hey, glad to see you are still here." he smiles and walks over the man. He looks over at the game console and gasped a bit. "Is that what I think it is?"

The man glanced down "Just the new game sphere with Conquerors of the World 4. I plan on using it to spend the time waiting for night to come and we can actually fight one another."

He turned his attention back to his fellow master, or, the space behind him "How is the master servant contract been treating you?"

Takeshi

As he left, he heard the pair behind him begin to argue about something, obviously keeping their voices down so he didn't overhear. Caster materialized a moment later beside him, mid-stride. "They seemed nice. I can't wait to kill them~" she said in entirely too chipper a tone considering the subject matter.

Joseph mouthed the words "Conquerors of the World 4" with slight enthusiasm, managing to contain himself as he then answered the man's question. "Yes, the contract has been good. Um anyways about tonight I have a proposition. Well more of asking but would it be alright if you and I don't fight? Each other? Maybe even fight alongside?"

The man blinked "Are you... asking me to be an ally? Because if you are, you can just say 'I'm desperate and I need some help. Seems a lot easier than dancing around the fact."

"Well, I thought saying it like that would be too blunt and get an immediate "no" answer. Then again, dancing around the fact may have made a someone angry at me." He thought for a moment but went back to the subject, "But yes, would you please be my ally?"

The man raised an eyebrow, but then shrugged "I don't mind, I've always wanted to work with a Saber. What's your name kid?"

"Joseph Johnston. And you are?"

"Lord El Melloi II, Twelfth Lord of the Clocktower, you may call me Waver." He says, lighting himself a cigar.

Joseph took one quick inhale of the smoke before he coughed once and step back a bit away from the smoke. He smiles at the man, "Waver, nice to meet you. Now I'm not sure if this is rude to ask but would you kindly tell me what servant you have? I'm not asking for name or anything just what type of servant it is"

"Haven't summoned him yet." He said casually "But I have a pretty good idea that it's going to be Rider."

"Ah a rider huh? Nice." Saber, rider, berserker,caster. that is it so far minus the girls' he has yet to find out. He glances up at the man, "Would it be alright if we meet up here maybe a few minutes before the war starts tonight?"

"... I have a house we can just stay at until everything is ready." Waver says.

A voice in Joseph's head reminded him he'd also seen Archer at the marketplace. That left Assassin and Lancer, assuming of course that Waver correctly predicted his Servant's class.
