Fate/alter chasm (Mk.II)

"Ok then,  could you inform them that  their room had just been rented to another guest?" Takeshi casts a hypnosis spell on the clerk while saying this.

<you've got to be kidding.>

The man blinked, his eyes briefly sliding out of focus, before replying. "Yes sir. Will that be everything?"

<No. Do you think they've realized we're planning to stay here?>

<most likely, this was no5 what i wanted to happen.>

That will be everything yes, put the room name under Matoi."

Upon seeing Ikari in the hotel lobby, he very much wanted to turn and leave the hotel; however, there weren't any nearby that he can think of. So he casually waited behind them for his turn to talk to the receptionist.
<Saber, please, don't speak up to get their attention.>

The receptionist dutifully entered the information into his system as Saber crossed her arms. <I'm pretty sure they already know we're here.>

<As do I, but I don't want us to start talking again.> He gave her a sideglance before looking forward at the receptionist. He sighs <If...God forbid we had to fight, what are you capable of doing?>

<I have a sword, Master. It's really very simple what I do with it.> She turned to face Joseph, giving him a hard look. <And we will have to fight them - the Grail only grants one wish.>

<I suppose you are right.> He looks away from Saber and was rereading a mental note of some pages in his books of his conceptional magic.

Takeshi and Caster make their way to the hotel room.

Saber watched them go - it was plain that she wanted to start a fight, but was at least willing to respect the rules of the War that forbade it until nightfall.

The penthouse suite was absolutely enormous, a luxury home in its own right with commanding views all around the city. It even had a bar.

Joseph sighs in relief and walks up to the receptionist asking for a room with two beds.

The receptionist promptly told him the price of staying in that room. "And how long will you be staying here?"

"Seven days I believe. If not, I can pay the difference."

"Alright, well we will be sure to keep that in mind." He was handed a room key and told of the meal hours and the location of the pool.

"Ok, first things first." Takeshi says, walking around the room, checking in any place he though of where hidden listening/viewing devices could be located, finally, he went over to the bar, and opens the fridge.

"Ok, there's room for sake in here."

He thanked the receptionist and took the key to their room. It may not be penthouse, but it was still a nice room. Joseph handed Saber the bottles of sake and fell face first on the bed exhausted.

Saber seemed to brighten considerably on being presented with alcohol. "Oh, right! I forgot we bought these." She opened a bottle and immediately took a long drink from it.

"...I like it."

Takeshi grabs 2 glasses from behind the bar and opens one of the bottles of sake. He pours the alcohol into both glasses and hands one to Caster.

"I hope the room is to your liking as much as it is mine." he says, taking a long drink from his glass.

"It's beautiful! And look at that view - so romantic~!"

"And tactical, we have a perfect view of the whole city."

"Glad you like it" Joseph let out an exhausted sigh as he was close to drifting to sleep but stopped himself. He reached into his backpack and pulled out an old leather bound book and opens it, reading the content.

Caster's face fell, but she recovered swiftly. "So now that we have a base of operations, what's our next move? Kill Saber and her Master?"

Saber took another drink from the bottle, leaning against the wall. "What're you reading?"

"I'm reading the definition of the word 'Enlightment'" He reaches over and tries to grab the second bottle of sake.

"Hey now, we can't just rush into starting a war, I'd like to start things off by either making an alliance, or letting the others duke it out first, that way we can asess their abilities before we go up against them." Takeshi finishes his glass.

"We should start by compiling a roster of who we are up against."

"Well we already know about that weirdo with Saber, at least."

Aside from that, the Fuyuki Grail War was set to always select a Master for the Einzberns, the Tohsakas and the Matous. The latter two had houses in the city where the families lived. That would likely be a good start.

Saber tossed the bottle in question onto the bed next to him, landing it on a pillow so it didn't break. "What for?"
