SHIELD and Swords

"Really? Right now at this time you are asking? Nevermind just conceal it."

The jeep pulled over and two individuals could be seen in the front seat. One had blond hair that came down to her shoulders and the driver was a dark haired young man with a crew cut.

"Pull over and ask for direction."

"Excuse me i'm not going to pull over."

"Then stop running and just ask them."

"I'M NOT GOING TO STOP AND ASK THE ENTIRE US ARMY FOR DIRECTIONS WHEN THEY LOOK LIKE THEY ARE HEADED TO WAR!."

The arguing couple apparently didn't slow down and just zoomed past.

".. what was that?" Hisako asks, slightly confused.

"Did they say something about 'the US Army?'"

Peter watches as the jeep slowly shirks away into the distance and faces the direction from where they came.

"Wait, did they not just see the giant spaceship?"

"I honestly hope they didn't see it."

Off in the distance a very large cloud of dust was forming. the special grew slowly but surely as the sun began glinting of more an more of the reflective surfaces in the distance. A few flag could be made out broad casting that was indeed the US Army. There were tanks jeeps anti aircraft weaponry as well as a few others.

"Sir did?"

"I was Never Here."

"Yes sir."

"Now get our agents out of there and don't lose them." Fury said pulling up a picture of three seeming normal people standing underneath a spaceship. One of with who had a glowing hand?

"What about the targets sir."

"What do you mean what? Find out who they are."

"And the general?"

Fury sighed. "Hit Record and go get me some popcorn!"

Megan took a step back from the oncoming dust cloud. "Hisako? I think they're coming this way!"

"Hey guy, you wanted to show us the inside of your ship right?"

Peter nods his head. "Good plan. Ship deactivate cloaking and power on the engine." Ship slowly became visible as the engine began to make a whirling noise. He ran to the rear entrance. "Come on!'

Megan glanced at Hisako, uncertain, before following Star-Lord to the ship's entrance.

"I sure hope I don't get molested." She mutters, running into the ship as well.

Once the girls were in, he closed the rear entrance and hurried to the steering. "Hang on to something." Without waiting, he brought the ship into the air.

Megan, not quite ready, stumbled just a bit as the ship lifted off but quickly grabbed on to a handhold on the wall and braced herself.

Hisako had a much less pleasant time and stumbled into a shelf of random things, knocking some over.

"But sir."

General Ross i appologie for i didn't believe you were actually that stupid.

"Your popcorn sir."

"Ohh!" Fury's one eye visibly brightened. "Thank you, and don't lose them."

In the air.

Flashing lights. Red blinking lights everywhere.
Five. Eight. Ten incoming missiles. Ha Ha Ha.
One boom to the left one boom to the right. Two big black dust chords.

Peter did the best he could dodging those two missiles from hitting ship that all the worse that happened was the ship shaken from the explosion. He sped the ship forward, doing a barrel roll to try and avoid the other eight.

Megan clung tightly to her chosen brace, having a much better time of it than Hisako due to super strength and levitation.

Explosions rocked the ship avian rolls doing little to avoid the hail of incoming projectiles. Most found there mark battering the hull and taking out large chunks of the ship with it. the wings were being beaten and batter into only ruff shapes of what the wings used to be.

Warning lights were flashing red singling the extent of the damage. Major hull damage lost in stability cloaking and shielding were disabled as well as 30% of total propulsion was lost.

Eventually after all ten with only seven hitting there target. The missiles were spent the ship carried it's passengers safely away from the threatening military.

As the missiles impacted, Megan grabbed hold of Hisako's arm to steady her friend, anchoring her more or less in place by comparison.

Peter checked his radar to see they lost them for now. He sighs out loud in relief. "Ship. Status Report."
"Major main hull damage, shields are temporarily down, and we are running on 70% Propulsion." Peter to look at the passengers. "Everyone alright back there?"

Hisako, stretching out a pink clad energy arm, braces against the wall, along with the help of Megan she was able to finally get her balance. "Doin' juuust great, how are you?"

"Eh. Not the first time I have been shot at. Probably not my last." He shrugs and goes back to steering. "Ship, find a nearby place to land with little no civilians."
"I have a spot."
"Send me the coordinates."
Peter started heading to the point.

"Won't this make it easier for them to kill us?"
