Infinite Stratos: Zero Hour

"That's not what she asked." Cecilia said. "She was talking about the base."

Laura stood by as Charlotte flew out over the ocean, looking for the golem.

Rin follows, cannons at the ready.

All of the pilots look but none of them find even a sign of the Golum "I know I have pretty good missiles but this is just stupid" Sarah says

"Ze IS cannot be dead, it has moved. Keep your vits about you!"

Just as Luara said that she noticed a sort of heat haze in front of her. It appeared to move and she was quick enough to dodge the blast aimed for her head

"It has a cloaking device!" she informed the others, deploying AIC after her dodge. Charlotte rematerialized her shotguns and fired, as did Cecilia with her rifle.

Since only Luara could see it for a second all of the shots went everywhere but there target "This thing is pissing me off" Orimura says "Luara, once you or anyone else for that matter sees it again, you give me its position" she orders

"When isn't she pissed off about something?" Rin mutters to herself

"Jawohl Mentor!" Laura replied. She and the other two girls kept looking around themselves, waiting for the enemy to show itself.

Oriumra kicks Rin in the back of the head sending her into the rock face "I heard that you little s@#$"

Cecilia switched to thermal imaging, but that wouldn't work either. Plus her Hyper Sensor wasn't picking it up. A thought crossed her mind. Maybe if one of them had sonar...but that was pointless, who would equip an IS with sonar?

Oriumra was looking behind a cliff face. Right behind her the Golum materialized out of thin air "Watch it!" Tatenashi screams as she runs part of the Golums leg through with her lance

Golum disappears and Tatenashi points with her lance "There!"

Sarah takes a shot were she thinks Tatenashi is pointing and her lasers hit "How did you know where it was?" Sarah asks

"Sonar"

"You have Sonar on that thing?"

"Yes, why wouldn't I?"

"Hate to interrupt" Orimura says "But is everyone out of the base?"

"Completely evacuated. Since you asked so nicely Wards going to live to"

"Why would I want him alive? He dies this whole operation becomes mine"

"Good to see that teaching hasn't changed you old friend" Tatenashi sighs

"Vhere is ze golem?" Laura demanded of Tatenashi. Charlotte switched to a flamethrower - if she hit the golem the burning napalm would ruin its invisibility. It is hard, after all, to be invisible while on fire.

"One second" Tatenashi says "North-west now!"

A railgun shell, sniper blast and a torrent of napalm flew at the location Tatenashi indicated.

The railgun hits the location and it hits the golum

Charlotte kept firing her flamethrower.

The flaming Napalm hit the golum and since it was now on fire it all but destroyed all possibility of stealth

"There you are" Sarah says sending a fury of missiles. The missiles missed and exploded behind it sending it down towards the group, perfect for every type of punishment

Charlotte switched out her flamethrower for her pile bunker and combat knife while Laura deployed her armblades. Cecilia, as always hanging back, released her IS' drones to attack as well.

The fallowing massacre can only be described as that, a massacre. Since it was lined up perfectly the Golum took all of the punishment from the laser, and bullet fire. Once it was a flaming hunk of junk Orimura grabbed it by the neck through it up and proceded to slice it into as many pieces as she could.


What was left of the Golum was what amounted to scrap

Charlotte sighed, dematerializing her weapons. "Now it's dead."

She was correct the only thing that still looked in-tacked was the core. Orimura picked it up and through it at Sarah "Get that to the lab find were it came from"

"Yes sir" Sarah says promptly before she started to fly up. She was stopped by a group of IS pilots that came from the remains of the base. From their units and their uniforms, they were UN "So now you bother to show up" Sarah says Parties over if you couldn't tell"

The group said nothing, but the leader of the group flew forward and produced a hologram cube. She activated it and the President of the UN appeared before everyone "Mr President" Orimura says discussed

"Orimura" He responded

"What do you want?"

"I'm here to give you your orders" He brings out a small parchment of paper and begins reading "As of this moment, General Grant Ward is removed of all Military rank and power-"

"WHAT!?!" Sarah says "Why!"

"Treason" the President says like it was nothing, he continued "This base and all of its personal are now under direct control of the UN. That includes all Pilots and Peacemakers. As the first of our many orders all Peacemaker pilots are to return to the USA for debriefing and standard maintenance. All representative Pilots that came from the IS academy are to return to their respective countries for the same reasons. And finally Ms Orimura is to return to Tokyo whereupon she will turn over all information not already known us and she and her assistant Tatenashi will turn in Byakushiki and Mysterious Lady respectfully. You will then be put into Prisons for your War crimes and dishonorably discharged"

"Var crimes!?" Laura was shocked.

"Well, I never!" Cecilia folded her arms and glared at the president.

"You're the President of the USA, you don't have authority over us!" Charlotte protested.

"Really? This little piece of paper from all of your governments says that I have more authority over you than god. So I say again, pilots will return to their respective countries or do you want me to get Parliament, the leader of the French Republic" he turns to Laura "And your commanding officer to tell you instead?"

The trio looked at each other. Laura was the first to move; Schwarzer Regen's railgun slid back to its standby position and the German machine jetted off towards Europe. Cecilia followed a moment later, while Charlotte, who was quite visibly shaken by the sudden turn of events, was the last to go.

Mira, meanwhile, finally turned off Advent's headphones function and walked through the now anemone-free hallway. Opening the door at the end, she blinked at the sight of the devastation that was the former War Room. "Oooookaaaaaay...I see we've been remodeling."
