Infinite Stratos: Zero Hour

"OK, WhatdidImiss?" Sarah says

General Ward lowed his head "You would be wasting time. If the boats got hit by Advents weapons. There is no hope for them"

"SARAH." Mira grabbed her colleague by the shoulders. "Are you done with the prisoners?"

Laura took a step away from Mira, watching her carefully.

Charlotte addressed General Ward. "So we cannot do anything until whoever stole the IS attacks again?"

Derek looked at the hologram of Advent.

"Mira, you said that you were the pilot for Advent. What was the combat style for it and what are its weaknesses?" Derek asked as he looked to the General. "We should learn about the enemy's new weapon and figure out a way to capture it...Or destroy it."

"Yeah I'm done. Are you ok? Wait don't answer that" Sarah says

"The Peacemakers were designed with the sole purpose of being the perfect war machines. As a unit the three can take out any target or country for that matter. The advantage we have is that no one can pilot Advent was well as Mira. Sarah and Inara will lead a team to take back Advent when the time comes"

"And even if you could destroy Advent, you're not going to, because I would be upset with you." On anyone else, that smile would have been adorable. On Mira, it was spine-chilling. "Now, I'm going to go have some fun with the prisoners."

"...The Alaska Treaty forbids IS' to be used as weapons of war, though!" Charlotte pointed out. Laura rolled her eyes (well, at least the one sans patch). Even if Charlotte was the only one among the four she'd call a friend, she could still be stunningly naive.

"Ja, it does. But all it takes is for a single country to ignore zat treaty..."

"They're not playing by our rules now Charlotte. Get ready to start playing by their rules for a while." Derek said before he started laughing. "'You would run from a fire when I would run into it to help those in need.' Well that quote may not have been intended for this. But it works."

"Ex-f***ing-cuse me, asshole?" Mira's smile vanished instantaneously.

"If all else fails, then get ready to look for a new IS, Mira." Derek says as his gaze turned cold as he looked at her. "Because I'm going to tear that machine apart an blast it into oblivion if it turns its weapons onto another civilian area." Derek says as he looked at the hologram.

Mira actually laughed. "Yeah. Good f***ing luck, sunshine. That machine could take you apart in about half a second flat with my three-year-old niece piloting it. Seriously, f*** firefighting, you should get yourself a comedy gig."

Sarah gets out of Mira's path of eventual destruction

Derek got up and out of his chair and looked at Charlotte.

"Sorry, but she doesn't take me seriously." Derek apologizes before activating his right IS arm. "Phantom Strife." He says quietly before he disappeared. Derek stealthy moved to behind Mira before reappearing with his tonfa behind her head and snapping his fingers to get everyone's attention. "It will be tough to kill something you can't see." Derek said with a audible smirk and he deactivated his equipment.

"Um, heat seeking attacks genius." Inair points out, pushing her glasses back up.

Mira was grinning broadly. "I seem to recall that you weren't allowed to deploy your IS." Lightning fast, she slammed her heel down onto the instep of Derek's foot, then snapped her head backwards into his face with a loud crunch. 

And she wasn't finished yet, either. She took a pace forward and turned, bringing her left hand around in a hook to hit Derek straight in the jaw. As he reeled from that, she rammed her knee into his gut, folding him in half. Stepping lightly to one side as he wheezed, she slammed an elbow into the spot right between his shoulder blades, knocking him to the floor.

"Now. There's a very good f***ing reason I don't take you seriously and it's because you don't deserve it, dumbass. Do we understand each other?"

Rin slow claps and Inari smiles to herself.

"Mein Gott..." Laura looked as though she had just witnessed something beautiful.

Charlotte sighed. "Well, that was inevitable."

Derek shakily stood up as he held hi bloody nose and had a slight smile on his face.

"But you're nothing compared to Advent of Thunder. You wouldn't be able to beat it if you had a nuke if your bragging is true. Unless you have that IS, there is barely any use for your smart-@** mouth. Unless you have a way to shut it down or destroy it, then by all means tell us all. If not, shut up and let's try and figure out some way of taking it down." Derek said as he looked at the hologram. "Death is unavoidable, but we can still fight for our beliefs." Derek said as his eye glows.

"so that's what happened to all of our fortune cookies, you better pay for those stalker boy." Rin says from her chair.

"Derek!" Charlotte said from one side, trying to get his attention. Too late; Mira slammed her fist into his face again. 

"Hey, keep talking if you want me to keep beating your ass into the pavement, by all means. The solution is simple - you force Advent's shields to go down completely, the IS will revert to standby automatically. At that point, you remove the IS. Do you have to have everything spoonfed to you?"

"WE HAVE A LIVE ONE" Professor Lander screams "ADVENTS POWER SYSTEM JUST WENT ONLINE"

Ward was instantly looking over his shoulder "Where?"

"Bermuda Island. Just off the coast of Florida, at max speed a 10 minute flight!"

Ward turns to the group "Suit up. Sarah, Inari, you two take point"

"Yes Sir!"

Ward reaches into his pocket and comes out with a bracelet "Mira. Use this IS, its a standard mass production modle but that won't stop you will it?"

"Obviously not." Mira took the bracelet.

Laura and Charlotte went to the hangar.

Sarah went to the hanger "Ok then, I don't really like giving orders but here's how it will go. You guys will provide Inari and I cover while we engage advent. Under no circumstance should you jump in to help us, clear?"

Laura bristled at the obvious implication that none of them could stand up to the stolen IS, but she said anyway, "Jawohl."

"Oui."

"Ok then. Move out" Sarah says as she turns the red ring on her finger activating her IS. Nova Angel Guardian deployed and flew out, those that were in its way dived for cover.

Schwarzer Regen and Rafale Revive Custom II were close behind. Mira deployed her mass-produced model and followed suit.

General Wards voice came to all of them through the intercoms "We have blocked all radar and sati-light surveillance, don't bother with rules get there as fast as you can"

"Understood"
