CW3: Skies Afire

"You have no idea what you're talking about, as usual." Songbird sent a flurry of sonic darts at Spidey.

He dodges these as well "Oh, thats what I make people think, but I'm actually pretty smart. I'm smart enough to know that you don't give pysco's the authority to hunt people down. Songbird you have Sparky hunting people and norman osborn calling the shots, tell me that doesn't sound stupid to you"

There was a slight hesitation before she responded. "Osborn was one of the few S.H.I.E.L.D. authorities not to go to HYDRA. Unless you can get Captain America to ask for the job, or unless Nick Fury turns up again, he's the best H.A.M.M.E.R. and the world have got." She sent a net constructed from sonic chains at him next.

Spidy tries to jump out of the way but messes up badly and gets caught in the net "Come on, the world can do better and you know it"

Songbird didn't bother responding, instead tightening the net.

"Ok, Uncleuncleuncle"

"Osborn, I've got Spider-Man."

"Great! Now help me with Stark."

"Got is such a strong word" Spidy says before he rips the net allowing him to get out

"Dammit!" Songbird dissolved the net and fired a sonic piledriver at Spidey.

Spidy jumps off the building to escape and then webs songbirds foot and throws her to the ground "Falling birds are part of the forecast now"

Winded by the impact, Songbird's shield briefly disappeared as she hauled herself to her feet, dazed.

Spidy continued his attack by flipping her into the ground again

This time, though, Songbird was ready for him. A sonic blade slammed down on the web line, hard enough that it broke the pavement under it and the Thunderbolt was quick to follow up with a barrage of sonic projectiles.

Spidy did a midair spin and barly dodged the hard sonic weapons

Iceman and Meltdown are currently sliding on the same stream of ice, meltdown leaps off and aims a rock covered fist at Songbird while Iceman tries to immobilize her.

Songbird, focusing on the wall-crawler, didn't notice. That is, until Meltdown's fist knocked her sprawling onto the sidewalk, where Iceman anchored her limbs to the pavement.

"Well that was convenient, I mean for me not for you"

"Shut up!" Songbird's sonic wings ripped the icy cocoon apart and she took to the air again, soaring well out of range of the three renegade superhumans.

Spiderman swings up to the sky in pursuit

That did it. Songbird banished the shield construct, took a deep breath...

And screamed.

The air rippled with the force of her voice, a column of devastatingly loud sound severing Iceman's slide and sweeping towards Spider-Man, tearing apart concrete and vacant cars as it went.

Iceman covers his ears while plummeting downward while meltdown does the same.

Spiderman had to stop himself and cover his ears for a second before falling as well. He turns to see the falling X-Men and makes a webbing net catching the three of them and stopping them from face planting

Songbird promptly destroyed the portion of the net holding one side up, causing it to rebound towards the other one.

"Ok then" Spiderman says using his webs to swing and catch the two X-men and drop them on the ground

Songbird ran out of breath and the scream ended, her shield reappearing a moment later. "Ready to surrender?"
