KOTNR: Jedi Academy OOC

Also, this takes place a couple of years after KOTNR and Darkened Stars. Keep in mind this is intended to be an AU RP to KOTNR and Darkened Stars. This is because Darkened Stars is currently active and I do not want to mess with it's continuity any more than I have to.

Please keep in mind that you'll be playing as beings who are among the first students of the New Jedi Order, and that you're on the side of the Rebels (I had bad experiences with a party who just seemed split between the two factions.)

I don't want to sound like I am making too many restrictions, but since your characters are just beginning their Jedi Training, they should have basic Force abilities. The point of this RP is to have your characters develop their abilities. Therefore, no player should be an expert at lightsaber dueling.

Other than that, feel free to do whatever and have fun!

I'll have some spreadsheets up for more information on the backstory sometime soon (hopefully.)

Um quick question... Is my droid allowed or do I have to settle for a cyborg?

Pretty sure the idea is we're playing somebody other than our KOTNR/SWDS characters. Also, we're Jedi Padawans. Cybernetics would be a HUGE disadvantage, and I strongly doubt droids can even be Jedi, though I've not got the time at the moment to look it up on Wookieepedia.

That is indeed the idea. Sorry if I upset anyone who wanted to play as their characters from the other two RPs.

Okay, so would a cyborg work?

Yeah. A cyborg would work. They may not may the ideal Jedi, but they'll work.

Can I store my lightsaber in my cyborg's limb? Juts asking.

I'm pretty sure you can't.

Also, you'll be beginning with training sabers. You'll build your ow lightsabers later on.

I thought that you'd include that info when you were posting your OCs.

Yeah, I mean for those NPCs and stuff. What if Qui-Gon is a Nautolan, all of a sudden? Or an Aqualish?

So I'm cleared for a cyborg with a lightsaber storage compartment?

One quick question: if you were to follow through with this, how would you activate your lightsaber? Would there be some form of mechanism in the arm to press the activation button on your lightsaber?

Just curious.

Use the force to both open the compartment and pull out the lightsaber before closing the compartment. Activation is just a press of a button, nothing to fancy.

I suppose that would be ok.
