Pokémon Bismuth

Eric smirks as he looks into his bag. "Do I have anything?... Nope, darn thought I had something" he mumbled as he looked in his bag.

"Looks like you need to train some more" June commented.

The other Trainer ignored Eric and waved a hand dismissively at Jonn. "Nah, keep the money. You just start training your Pokémon?"

"Yeah,  i've had one battle so far other than this one, i just got tired of them debating who would battl you. Now i must go to a pokemon center." Jonn walks away and to the nearest pokemon center

"Hm." The Trainer looked over at the group - then decided he probably shouldn't battle the others, since they didn't seem to have any more or any stronger Pokémon.

a while later, Jonn returns with a healthy and not obliterated Koro.

"Well that was fun to watch"

The Bug-type Trainer excused himself and hurried off before Serena could bombard him with questions about how his Pokémon were so powerful.

In the meantime, the Gym was now open for the group.

"Well since I'm here to watch, I'll head to the stands. Good luck everyone." Eric said before he walked inside and disappeared from their line of sight.

"I'm sure that if thats what a EP is like I wont stand a chance against the leader. So back to the forest for training for me" Henry says walking out

Serena grabbed Henry's arm to stop him leaving. "You know the Leader is going to have a set of weaker Pokémon for Trainers like us, right? They're not going to use League-level teams like that Bug trainer."

"For once i agree with you, if i can challenge a trainer and get my butt handed to me, you can challenge a gym leader. Or it could end horribly and i get a laugh."

"Yah ok why the heck not"

"So let's go."

Jonn heads into the gym and sits in the stands. "All right lets get this done."

"I'll go first" Henry says walking to the gym leader

"5 bucks he gets his pokemon handed to him." Jonn says to Serena.

The other Trainer narrowed her eyes at Jonn, thinking. Finally, she smirked and said, "Make it ten" before following Henry to the Gym Arena.

The Arena itself was a basic affair - a big, dirt-and-gravel pitch marked out with chalk for the Pokémon to fight on, and bleachers against one wall for spectating Trainers. The Bug-type Trainer from earlier was there, still fiddling with his Pokédex. There was another man sitting in a corner as well. 

As Henry approached the center of the pitch (and the others took their seats), a door opened at the opposite side, the side with the raised marble platform on it. Out stepped the Leader of Viridian Gym: 

"So, you must be the latest batch of hopefuls they shoved out of Pallet Town, huh? What's your name?" he said, addressing Henry.

"Um, Henry"

Koro sits up and focuses on the begining battle.
"You're on." Jonn replies

"Right, then, Henry, let's see your Pokémon."

Henry hesitantly pulled out one pokeball "Here we go. Alec" Henry through the ball and the little Aron came out

Jonn sits back in his seat. "Let the fireworks begin." (swig)

"Shut up" Henry says to Jonn

"Yeah, shut up, kiddo." This in spite of the fact that he (Neil Oak, by the way) was barely older than them, by the looks of it. "Henry, Alec, meet Regent." With that, he tossed out a Poké Ball of his own, the light from which shot into the ground. A moment later, a Diglett poked its head out of the earth.
