Lil strained to clear her mind of negative emotions.

"Can you really clear your mind? Can you clear your thoughts of Anger? I did just commit a mass genicide and made friends kill each other" Shade turns to Gene

"Do you hate me boy? Do you hate the murderer of your parents?

"Kid, don't listen to him!" Fenris says to Gene while he strains to clear his mind.

Lil had a thought. "Don't think of him, Gene! Think of your parents, think of how you loved them or something!"

Shade smiled "Yes, did you love your parents? Do you love the thought of them burning in a magical fire, their souls forever trapped inside my staff. Tormented for all of time"

"You Sick son of a-" McCoy started

"Don't bother. You so much as cast a spell and I'll have your students dropping like flies. Now Gene your parents. Would you like to say goodbye?"

This time a white light sparked at the tip of his staff. Out came two blue wisps, they float over to Gene and materilze into the ghostly forms of his Parents

"Gene, those aren't your parents. Don't trust him!" Lil urged.

"I have people's souls under my control" Shade says "Trust me when I say that they are real"

"Yeah, we're gonna trust you. That's gonna happen."

Gene, still trying to get his mind under control, looks at the ghostly forms. "No..  they died, they aren't here." he says through gritted teeth, he closes his eyes trying to get his mind under control as quickly as possible.

"If they're not souls, then what are they?" Fenris asked.

A sprit go up to Gene "Gene? Why are you here?" The face, the voice were without a doubt his mother's

Lil shot Fenris a look. "Illusions. They're illusions, Gene!" As the spirit spoke, she pointed her wand at her Muggle-born friend. "Muffliato!"

Fenris couldn't help but wonder if Shade had control over what the souls said.

With all sight and sound blocked out, Gene was starting to get his mind a bit more under control.

"Your ruining the fun" Shade says to Lil

The headmasters next to him start to move again "I see you finished your metal barryors"

"Carter. Shade. Who ever you are, I am going to kill you" McCoy says before raising his staff "FUEGO UlTIMUM" A huge wave of fire erupted from McCoy's staff. The flames hit Shade but all of them just convulsed on him as if the air wouldn't let the flames move out of that spot. Professor Freeman was standing there with his futuristic gun pointed at Shade

Gene does his best to open one eye to see what was happening and sees the flames hitting shade.

"Nothing can kill him."

"Gene" McCoy starts "I have battled the forces of good and evil for over a hundred years. And if there is one thing that I learned, its that nothing on this earth is imortal"

McCoy and Freeman move there wands together and the fire stops were it was and then it explodes. A mini contains nuclear explosion. When the light settled and the dust cleared, nothing was left of Shade

Lil looked around. She didn't see Shade, but that didn't mean he hadn't pulled another decoy...

Gene risks opening his other eye to see if Shade was still there, thankfully he was not.

"He's not here" McCoy says

"Then where is he?" Fenris asked.

"Who cares? We finally beat him."

"He simply left. He is not defeated"

"Close enough, right?" After a moment of no response, "...Right?"

Lil didn't wait for an answer, instead looking at the two dead freshmen in the middle of the room. "What's going to happen to them?"
