To Rob: "So you saw we were mining for Mega Stones, I don't see how you drew the conclusion that we therefore must have caused the Cataclysm! This is outrageous!"

To Eric: "Of course I don't! You understand that CEO of an enormous corporation does not mean I'm out to take over the world, don't you?"

To Serena, Desmond and November: "Wait a moment. I know you three - you were in Rustboro fighting that Cofagrigus! How did those Pokedexes that I gave you work? Are they working alright?"

"Aside from your corporation using them to try and spy on us, yeah, they worked fine." Desmond said, not having moved from his accusatory pointing pose.

Serena said nothing, brow furrowed in thought.

Eric rubbed his forehead thinking "If the CEO had nothing to do with the Cataclysm, Who did?" he thought

"The Pokédex worked fine." November said. As if to prove the point, Haunter emerged holding its Pokédex with a big fat smile.

Eric puts his hands in a timeout gesture "OK OK timeout people. SO you have no idea about the Cataclysm, but PI is behind it. This doesn't make any sense who's pulling the strings?"

Berlitz blinked again, raising an eyebrow. "What makes you so sure PI is behind it? As I recall the Cataclysm started when you lot were in our excavation site!"

"The earthquake had to originate somewhere and none of our Pokémon can use earthquake."

"He has a point"

Riley walks in to the room and it was obvious that he got into a fight before arriving. He freezes behind the group and looks at the distruction downstairs.

"Should have guessed it was you guys that gave me an opening to infiltrate the base. So what information have you gathered from this CEO? Anything about the missing Lucarios?" riley asked as Human-Fang walked in and he seemed to be in better shape than Riley.

"Hey guys, where have you been?" Human-Fang(Fang) asks like he and Riley didnt disapear from the group.

"Well I got mummified Rob lost a brother and the CEO knows nothing" Eric says

"Or he could be lying" November suggested.

"I don't think he is..." Serena said.

"Well, we have to take that under consideration. Mr Berlitz, if you didn't do it, who would be high enough to run such an operation right under your nose without detecting it?" November asked.

Berlitz looked horrorstruck. He hesitated a moment before saying, "I...don't know."

November didn't believe him. He was hiding something...

"I"m not buying this, how can you, the C.E.O of P.I not notice something THIS MASSIVE!? " Rob demands, slamming his fist down onto Berlitz's desk.

"Well, for one thing, I don't actually handle most of the business, if you must know!" Berlitz said indignantly, replacing a container of paperclips that had spilled. "That would be the CFO."

"And where would he/she be?"

"At our home, in Littleroot Town. But of course she had nothing to do with this. Jean's my wife, she wouldn't do something like this."

"Surely she would know."

"Somebody has to."

Eric starts to get a little frustrated. He goes to the penthouse window and realizes charzard, who promptly burns through the window "I'm going to Littleroot to try and find some answers"

"Well that happened." Rob says, not wanting to cause property damage.

Eric looks at the remains of the window "Sorry about that. I get frustrated when things don't make sense. Anyway I'm already a criminal whats a little property damage going to do?"

Berlitz massaged his temples. "Just go, will you?"

"Ok, anyone want to come with me?"
