"It must be held together by some pretty strong magic to keep it like that. Beyond that I have now clue"

The torso, if it could hear them, arched its back, raising its middle off the floor. It was kinda creepy watching the thing.

"Whatever this thing is, it looks like it was made using the altar over there. "

The torso went limp, its chest heaving.

"Ok now its having a stoke"

"Ok i'm torching this thing. Any objections?"

Aaron shakes his head no

Smoldar enhales and a blue stream of fire erupts from his palms, searing the torso.

The reaction was immediate. A tentacle grabbed his ankles, the spikes biting into flesh, before flinging him across the antechamber. Other tentacles crossed in front of the torso, shielding it from the flames.

"This thing has some tricks"

Smoldar hits the opposite wall and slides to the floor. "Thing's got some bite in it. "

"Looks like someone went in through that stairwell. Kind of obvious with the torches." David said pointing at the torches "well, I don't want to be underground in this ancient catacomb network. Quiet and lets go..."

The mage sensed things being off.

Aaron teleports the tentacles and the pot under ground

The pot again rebounds crazily out of the ground, bouncing at the stairwell. The tentacles do not - they tear viciously out of the ground and three of them attempt to impale Aaron.

David hears the tentacles and pot ricochet of the walls "ah we've got them. Redhanded too by the sound of it. Tomb robbing..."

"This isn't a tomb, it's a dwarven ruin."

"Same thing" David said. Upon hearing the noise closer he charges around the corner. guards follow behind him "Everybody you are under arrest!"

Smoldar stands up "greetings officer."

"I see you are looting...elven?...tombs! That is a crime against the state. Now you get to sit inside my prison cell until your hairs start falling out" David sneered.

Smoldar beams David with the pot. "Not today friend."

Jack watching the whole thing go own slips away into a side room looking for anything of use or of strange looking.

"Ah, but you don't have any other choice I am afraid."

"Hello again." Julios says to Octavion and Anastasia.

Octavion- who was examining an ancient shield- suddenly drops it and turns around. "We weren't tomb-robbing, officer! We swear!" he says in a mocking kind of voice.

Anastasia rolls her eyes.

"Yeah right. Now come over here so I can clap you in irons." David said as two guards with chains approach.
