T&T III RP

The pot erupts from the floor and smashes into Smoldar's face before rebounding off and clanging off a tentacle, which promptly whips up and impales it against the wall before slumping back to the floor.

"Someone, stop that delicious pot!" Smoldar says, rubbing his bruised face.

"Very energetic pot" Aaron says

The pot now lies there, over by the tentacles.

Smoldar examines the pot.

"I wouldn't do that"

Smoldar picks it up and smells the inside of it.

The pot seems to be completely inert now. One of the tentacles moves and brushes against Smoldar's foot. Now that he's closer, he can see what they are - serrated, spiral-type things like flexible unicorn or narwhal horns, except with wicked sharp spikes running along the spiral patterns. They're made of some black metallic substance...what is the owner of them?

"interesting."

Following the tendrils back to their source, Smoldar finds a ritual circle, laid out on the floor before the altar. Melted remains of a few candles are spaced around it, and a spattering of blood and what look like intestines are on the altar itself. In the center of the circle, the tentacles splayed around it, is a human torso. Female, obviously - there's no mistaking that. It is clothed in what appears to be a fairly expensive dress of black, lacy material.

Only thing is, the torso has no arms attached. Or legs. Or head. Instead, at the shoulders, hips and neck are several of the tentacles, stretching out over the circle qrotesquely.

"And I thought smolder smelled bad"

To prove the mage wrong David orders his guards into the ruins "come on and man up. We have got some prisoners to catch."

Smoldar wings the pot at Aaron, smacking into his face with a satisfying bong

A tendril twitched, slicing part of Smoldar's pant leg open.

"Well, what does the pendulum say? Are we close?" David asked in annoyance. His boots were getting dirty.

"Fairly."

"Well I don't have all day, so it would be much appreciated if you showed me which way to go."

"Eh, what the hell?" Smoldar says, poking the torso.

The torso, surprisingly, was warm. Alive. And it jerked away as Smoldar touched it, though given its lack of limbs and a head it didn't move hardly at all besides bending at the waist. The metallic tendrils, extremely heavy as they were, scraped against the stone floor.

"interesting, it's alive." Smoldar states to himself, poking one of the tentacles.

The spikes on the tendril drew blood from Smoldar's hand.

"Ah, angry little buggars." he says, pressing his finger against his opposite sleeve.

"It has an interesting taste" Aaron says

The torso twitched again.

"How is it still alive?" Smoldar asks Aaron.
