Colonize and Conquer III: Imperial Dream

The British see that the ottomans arnt there allies yet and send a messenger right away.

The Ottoman Empire accepts the alliance request if the British will trade (current day Mauritania in Africa) for (current day Libya)

Britian says instead of trading land Britian will give the ottomns full acsses to mauritania.

King John accepts the offer to join the LOUN.

The Ottomans request that they have full rights with out interference of any sort from the British

King Louis stops sending supplies to Sweden and Britain and accepts the LOUN invitation.

Sweden asks the French for supplies again. It criticizes the LOUN for being headed by a warmonger.

German and British navy push the Swedish navy back towards Copenhagen. Meanwhile Swedish troops march into Germany. Germany is assembling a large force near Berlin. In Sweden the war turns into a seesaw. Repeatedly British troops push into Swedish territory only to get pushed back (and vice versa). However this repeated movement of troops leaves the British tired and the small amounts of Swedish troops smaller.

Poland starts selling mercenaries to Sweden (therefore Poland is not technically part of the war, but obviously supports the Swedish). The mercenaries are about the strength of recruits (not terribly useful).

Japan is happy to trade with the British. In fact they are seeking engineers to industrialize their country.

Portugal offers the Japanese the steam engine.

Japan thanks the Portuguese. The Japanese ask if the Portuguese would be willing to ally themselves with Japan.

Portugal accepts the alliance.

France warns Poland not to sell mercenaries to either side and asks japan for trading rights.

The Ottomans decide the war is taking to long and sends Britain reinforcements

France also asks to trade with Portugal for the steam engine

King John asks what France is willing to part with for the engine.

France doesn't seem like it received a reply. Perhaps it was lost en route or the Poles aren't paying heed to the French warning.

Japan accepts the trade deal. Factories are being built in Edo.

France repeats the message and tells Poland that it will have serious repercussions if Poland doesn't' reply

Poland tells the French that their sale of mercenaries is none of France's business.

France tells Poland that Poland will stop, or troops will be unleashed upon Poland. Money is not worth another polish defeat. (And let slip the dogs of war....)

King John sends a message to France saying not to unleash the dogs of war, we don't need Europe coming apart at the seams.

Austria agrees with Portugal because it would be "awful" to have Europe at war again. In truth they don't want French troops trampling through their country or near their area of influence.

France replies stating that France supports her allies even Austria and Portugal when needed and that this is no different.

The Aztecs, determined to show that they are a part of world politics, petition to join the LOUN and send a relatively small amount of troops and officers to take part in the war on Britain's side, citing British assistance in the War for Secession earlier and that the Hegemony remembers their support. On paper it looks relatively impressive but in reality the Aztec troops are fairly poorly organizes and there aren't a lot of them; just a token effort to look involved for the moment.

France votes in favor of the Aztecs.

King John sees nothing wrong with them joining so he votes yes as well.

France offers to help train soldiers in the Aztec army and navy.
