The year is 5000 B.C.- a time before the Dawn of Civilization. Small tribes of people wander the earth, who will one day be destined to unite other tribes under their banner and create civilization.

Alright, let's get this thing started. I'll set up an OOC thread where you can name your tribes and what land they come from.

I'll set up maps later.

In Jutland, the Viuqa tribe, a pale-skinned race with slanted eyes and auburn hair, looks to combine with other tribes.

Seeing the pros of unity, 12 other tribes decide to join with the Viuqa.

(I'm just gonna assume that you all have united with some of the other tribes and started building your own cities.)

Around where modern day Seville is, tribes begin to gather together starting to build the foundations to a city...or more like a camping ground.

The tribes in Iberia begin constructing themselves a small city out of the only available nearby resources: stone. The tribes collectively call themselves Solistan, in honor of their leading god: Sol [sun god].

The Viuqa found the city of Arqariqo on their peninsula (Qimbri) and erect a small monument to the occasion.

The Viuqa (the group as a whole is starting to refer to themselves as Iviuqoar) begin creating farms to increase their food supply. Iviuqoar believes itself to be the only such civilization in the world. Newcomers to the growing clan begin to be assigned social status unofficially based on how late they were to the party. The original tribes are at the top, naturally, followed by those who came later and the johnny-come-latelies have things rather difficult indeed.

Arqariqo's population is beginning to outstrip Iviuqoar's ability to produce food and house people. The agreed-upon solution ends up being kicking the late arrivals out and turning away newcomers. A few of these take to resuming their nomadic lifestyles, but a few set up rudimentary camps, far enough away to not be bothered by the Arqariqoar. Eventually some of these get fed up, say a collective "screw you guys" and head off to make their own Arqariqo.

The Arqariqoar, meanwhile, erect a shrine near their monument. It's unclear as to the exact deity or spirit this shrine is dedicated to, though the dedication with the largest following is that of a motherly goddess of civilization, whose symbol is a cloak shielding her people from the wilderness. The buildings of Arqariqo are still mostly wooden, with dried brick coming into use for the shrine and for foundations and floors.

The new city of Riqo is founded, well to the east of Arqariqo and in fact across a small strait of water using crude wooden ships. The Riqoar, to symbolize their independence from Arqariqo, adopt a god of freedom as their patron and rely more on fish than farms. As a result they are substantially smaller than Arqariqo, not least because of Arqariqo's status as something of a mecca.

With the Riqoar's increased reliance on the sea, they rapidly shift from their crudely-produced canoes to boats made from wooden planks.

In Arqariqo, someone has developed a radical new invention. Taking a curved piece of wood (yew, by preference) and attaching a tense bit of woven string, the Arqariqoar have discovered the ability to fire arrows of sharpened wood. They use this to begin hunting, as it is a great improvement over spears.

Archery comes to Riqo. Riqoar architecture is also beginning to move more to chiseled limestone bricks; stone is plentiful in their location.

The Scots tribe in Ireland begins annexing other tribes, and founds a "city" (more of a fishing village really) called Duibhlinn.
