Sam beats back the infected and shoots at them.

The zombies go down in droves as per usual, but in an enclosed environment it gets increasingly hard to keep track of all possible avenues they can use to come after you. An infected arm, clawing at Sam's neck, hauled him back and off-balance from behind.

Mathias was trapped in a corner, firing desperately against an oncoming wall of infected, before the most horrible sound in the world sounded.

Click-click-click. No more bullets.

Mathias snatched at a fresh magazine but his shaking hand had just closed on it when the zombies hit him hard, clambering over each other to get at him. He was bowled over as an infected woman wearing a cocktail dress collided with him, flailing limbs striking at his face as her teeth sank into his forearm. The Survivor howled, shaking her off - losing a bit of his arm in the process. Another zombie mauled his hand and he lost a finger. His shrieks of pain were cut off abruptly as a zombie's heel smashed down on his mouth, splintering his jaw with a sickening crunch!. Blow after blow rained down on him, zombie feet and arms and teeth pounding on his body and cracking ribs, pulverizing an eyeball, shattering his nose and coating his limbs in bruises before he finally, mercifully lost consciousness. He never regained it.

Sam tries to force the grip off of his neck.

The zombie in question (a rather obese man wearing a pair of severely damaged glasses and a Starfleet t-shirt) didn't have a terribly good grip on him in the first place, but now Sam was on the floor and the oncoming infected started diving at him.

Sam's gun goes sliding away hitting a wall

A zombie landed on his face, hands clawing at his chest as the others rained down attacks with feet and arms alike.

Sam's thrashing starts to weaken after time passing.

An infected arm comes down hard on Sam's neck.

The neck snaps wiyh a sickening crack.

The infected, no longer targeting Sam or Mathias, moved on to swarm Gus and Max, though their numbers were thinning rapidly.

A swarm of infected bowled Gus over as he started the chainsaw. The last thing he saw in this life was the spinning blade as he fell face-first atop it.

Outside, two Survivors by the names of Nick and Ellis, carrying a single pistol and a shotgun respectively, saw the swarm of zombies pouring in through the shattered windows, the house's floodlights bathing the surrounding woods in light that drew the attention of every zombie in the state, it seemed.

"Well then, I know where we're not going to spend the night" Nick says "Well off to someplace somewhere else"

"Maybe there's a midnight riders concert goin on." Ellis replies.

Nick shakes his head "I would've blow it up"

The zombies continued to pour into the house, though after a moment the shooting and shrieking from inside stopped. The remaining zombies took to clustering around the floodlights and flailing clumsily up at them. A few lightbulbs inside broke, presumably as zombies swiped at them and broke them to pieces.

"We should get goin."

"No S@#$"

Max reloaded a fresh. Clip and started firing before a human voice caught his attention. "What?" He says before shooting at the zombies again. "I thought I heard something! Outside!" Max yells at his fellow survivor not letting up on gunfire.

Nick starts walking away trying not to be noticed "Keep your voice down" he thought

The zombies, hearing the gunfire, surged into the room Max was using as his erstwhile shelter.

Ellis follows NIck.

"Well do you know any good places to camp around here?" Nick asks

"No clue."

"Me neither, maybe something good will happen. NOT" Nick says walking down the street

"Well, it could be worse" Louise pointed out "we could be trapped in that dump."
