The Crossroads

Speedy, standing in a smashed window of the Tower, shot another arrow at Whiplash, this one coating his faceplate in adhesive, blinding him. Static launched another barrage of lightning at Whiplash in the meantime.

Iron man fires both repulsors at whiplash taking advantage of the assistance.

Whiplash's chestplate cracked and splintered, the arc reactor powering it slowly dimming and going dark. The armor lost power and the Russian villain fell onto his side, unable to support the weight of the suit without its servos holding it up.

"Thanks for the help, Flash. Who the heck is this guy?" Static asked, hopping off his hover-disc as Speedy shot a rope down to act as a zipline.

Iron man hovers down landing next to whiplash. "I'll take that one, his name is Whiplash. He stole the specs for my arc reactor and used it to create those laser whips." Iron man picks up whiplash by his throat. "Who sent you!" he asks the defeated villain.

"Actually, I was talking about you." Static said to Iron Man. Speedy, meanwhile, ziplined down the rope using her bow.

"I'm one of the good guys." Iron man casually says, "I saw the news report and needed to see for myself what was happening."

"No, what's your name" Static said patiently.

"Iron Man, he seems to be good guy. I hope that he is a good guy." Flash says as he looks at Static. "How much power is running through that suit of his? If it is a suit." Flash says questioningly.

Static looked at Whiplash and frowned. "None now. Iron Man must have hit the power source...assuming that's what the glowy thing in his chest is."

"Where did this guy come from?" Speedy asked Iron Man, referring to Whiplash.

"Wrong metal man." Flash says to static and he also looks at the motionless Whiplash.

"Oh. Uh...wow. A lot. Upwards of 300 terawatts."

Iron man bends down and extracts the darkened arc reactor from Whiplashes chest. "He, came from Russia, and this glowy thingy, is an arc reactor, able to produce unlimited, controllable power, invented by me of course, I on the other hand, am Iron man." Iron man puts the reactor back in whiplash's chest. "Won't be any use to him now."

"Nice power supply you got there Iron. Why would you need that much juice to power that small suit?" Flash asks as he knew that Iron Man heard the talk he and Static had and watched the dark reactor with intrest.

Meanwhile, New York is smoking and there's quite a lot of wreckage from a battle between the Avengers and the apparent Justice League. Captain America and Ms. Marvel are organizing the others, currently working damage control and trying to put out the fires.

"it is being used by a magnet that is keeping tiny bits of metal from entering my heart and killing me, so I need it to be reliable, and you can't really get abilities like thees with just a 9 volt battery." Iron man jets into the air and fly's around the outside of the building and lands back next to flash. "Now can you?"

The Green lantern left a while ago back to Oa for an emergency meeting with the guardians of the Green lantern corp. Alice, the Blue lantern is flying behind the group to make sure that they don't do anything too rash.

She watches the display and sighs. "Are you two going to quit having a show of power or can we continue?"

Iron man sends a message to captain America. 'Cap, sorry I couldn't join the party back at base, had to deal with a little impostor, what the heck happened?"

"You got me there Iron. So you thinking of joining?" Flash asked with a smile on his face.

"Yeah, I gotta go, do me a favor and get the whipping boy out of here and make sure he doesn't wake up." Iron man rockets into the air back to the site of the strange attack on his base.

Iron man tries contacting Captain American again sending the same message as before while flying to New York.

After taking Whiplash to the police and having a long argument which Flash won, he called Batman and asked where he wanted to meet up.

Beast Boy stays back at the tower to do damage control.

"I'll clean up in Gotham. In my place I am sending Robin, Bat girl and woman as well as Spiderman. They will meet you at the Justice League (or society?)." replied Batman to Flashes message

Cap sent a message to Iron Man telling him that five beings calling themselves the Flash, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, Batman and Superman had attacked Avengers Tower. He and the other Avengers were looking into this, trying to locate them so they could strike back.

"But, that's impossible, I was just with Flash a couple minutes ago fighting whiplash, how's the damage at base?"
