STAR WARS: KNIGHTS OF THE NEW REPUBLIC

Hello everyone, this is Sirius Lupin here and I'm bringing back the Star Wars roleplay. The reason why I'm restarting the roleplay is because the last one got way out of hand real quick. Same rules, with a few additions:
1. I hate to burst anyone's bubble, but everyone gets to be in the same transport throughout the roleplay. So in other words, no one has an individual ship or transport. The reason why I'm doing this is because it will make the roleplay much easier to DM without people running- or should I say flying all over the place.
2. Please refrain from annoying the DM with interfering with important stuff. Like in the last Star Wars roleplay, someone whom I shall not name,Alex blew up a ship that was supposed to be vital to the plot. Please don't screw around with the important stuff in the plot.

Now with that being said, I'd like to introduce the new STAR WARS: KNIGHTS OF THE NEW REPUBLIC (Used to be called STAR WARS: THE EPIC DESTINY). And yes, you can play as KOTOR characters as long as they were in the PC's party in either game. With the exception of Kreia, that is.

Everyone can have 2 characters. However, Revan and the Exile are off limits. This roleplay is AU as there may be KOTOR characters, but the time period is during the Galactic Civil War around 0 ABY (After the Battle of Yavin).

If you wish to make a character, feel free to do so, but please supply some kind of info about their background and yes this does inclued a picture of what you think would represent them. If they're pics from the internet, please photoshop them somehow to make it your own creation.

If you wish to create a character, here are the occupations they could have and the descriptions of each occupation:
Mercenary: Your basic Soldier for Hire
Smuggler: Someone who transports stuff illegally
Commando: A soldier in the special forces
Jedi Guardian: A Jedi Knight who focuses more on lightsaber comabt than actual Force techniques
Jedi Consular: A Jedi Knight who focuses less on lightsaber combat and more on Force techniques
Jedi Sentinel: A Jedi Knight who is kind of a balance between the Guardian and the Consular
Bounty Hunter: One who is hired to hint down a client's troublemaker
Spy: Take a wild guess

Of course, you could be droids also.

As of right now, a player can control up to three characters. If you're thinking about creating one, please at least look at the profiles of the current characters before you make your descision. It might change your choices.

Point A: You can't expect us to know what's going to be plot-central or not just out of the hat. Part of DMing is accepting that the players may not do what you expect/want. Ramming the plot down a specific line is for writing a book; you can have a general idea in place but the players won't always run the straight and narrow for you.

Point B: Can't we just state what the character looks like rather than laboriously wading through image after image looking for the proper one? I personally don't have the time or means to Photoshop my own anyway, so I'd rather just describe my characters.

Point A: I don't expect you to. I have a general idea, but it may be manipulated by the players, so it WILL change, I guarantee it.

Point B: That is, if you want to. I just find it easier to see what your character looks like with an image.

Alright, let's get started.

Opening Crawl

STAR WARS

KNIGHTS OF THE NEW REPUBLIC:

It is a time of civil war in the galaxy.
An alliance of rebels organized by the
mysterious Jedi Knight called REVAN
have struck from an unknown base and
won their first major victory against the
evil GALACTIC EMPIRE after Revan's
mysterious disappearance.

During the battle, Rebel infilitrators have
stolen Imperial intelligence data and
discovered that one of their dedicated
leaders- a Jedi Padawan named
BASTILA SHAN- has been captured by the
powerful Sith Lord DARTH MALAK in her
search for Revan.

Above CORUSCANT- the heart of the
Empire- a daring captain-for-hire attempts
to infilrate the GRENDEL I- the flagship of
Darth Malak- in hopes of rescuing Shan...

Atton Rand- a daring smuggler- lands the Sapphire Dragon in the hanger of the super-Star Destroyer Grendel I. Imperial stormtroopers board the freighter and begin a thorough search, though they find nothing because Rand cleverly activated his stealth-field generator. Rand then exits with the squad and begins his search for Shan.

[I shall be using R3-T7, alias Maus, and an Imperial Engineer, Teren Greyflight, daughter of Grand Admiral Vaunt Greyflight. Both are stationed on the Grendel I.]

The little droid turns on Atton and shocks him, alerting him to the nearby Imperial guards.

Atton is detained and held for a "session" by Darth Malak himself. (And by session, I mean interogation).

He is thrown in the same cell as Bastila Shan is.

R3-T7, otherwise known as Maus, quite pleased with himself for, as he views it, "single-handedly capturing an infiltrator," heads down to the hangar on orders from Engineer Greyflight to take a closer look at the ship the mysterious man arrived in.

[I'm curious, what happened to his "squad" you mentioned in the introductory post? And why exactly was a smuggler allowed to go sneaking around a Super Star Destroyer, apparently unescorted?]

(The smuggler was sneaking around because he had a stealth-field generator activated. It was only when he was caught did it go off. And as for the squad, they reported to Darth Malak that an apparently empty ship has just docked in their hanger.)

"Who the hell are you?!" Bastila Shan demands angrily when the mysterious smuggler was pushed into her cell.

"Atton. Atton Rand." The smuggler replied. "I'm here to rescue you."

"Well, you've done quite well, Captain." Bastila says with a hint of sarcasm in her voice.

"Don't worry, I've managed to pick the pocket of one of the guards who dragged me here. I have his key."

Atton then inserts the key into the key-slide and the force-field keeping them in the cell disappears. Atton and Bastila quickly run out and kill the guards guarding them.

Bastila and Atton-using the weapons they took from their dead guards- reach the armory where their confiscated stuff is being held after many gunfights with guards on patrol. They enter the armory and get all of their confiscated weapons- Bastila her yellow double-bladed lightsaber and Atton his Mandalorian-made blaster pistol. They also pick up some grenades and mines while in the armory.

After retrieving their gear, they make their way to the hangar, careful not to alert any patrols to their escape attempt. When they reach the hangar, they-to their great surprise- find it mostly empty, as there was no need for pilots to be flying at this time. Atton looks over and sees two figures by his ship. One he could tell right away was the droid who shocked him earlier and got him into this mess.

The other one seems to be an Imperial engineer.

Atton walks up behind the engineer and aims his blaster pistol at her head, with Bastila following closely behind. "Who the hell are you and what are you doing near my ship?" Atton demands angrily.

"I'd advise you keep your hands where we can see them." Bastila says, taking out her lightsaber in case the engineer was stupid enough to attack them.

Not wanting to startle anybody holding a gun to her head, Teren froze. "I'm an engineer and I'm inspecting your ship." she said carefully. If she timed it right, she might be able to turn around and hit the guy in the head with the fusion cutter (or her mechanical right hand) before he shot her, but first he needed to not have a gun right behind her head.

"Any preference? Female, male, human, non-human, droid, what?" Teren deadpanned, stalling for time. The longer she kept this joker occupied the more chance for stormtroopers to get in and handle the situation. Or, alternatively, the more likely he was to give her an opening.

Teren made a face. "Oh, you don't want either of those. We're already using them."

Maus made a noise that may or may not have conveyed amusement, rolling over next to Atton.

Atton made a face that tells people he was getting annoyed. He was about to repeat himself when Bastila waved her hand in an effort to force persuade Teren to do as they asked. (Roll)

Meanwhile, Atton eyes Maus with suspicion, since he never really trusted droids.
