IS: And Then There Were Three

"This is my computer. There are many like it, but this one is mine." Jeff paused midway through carrying the tower over near the desk. "Well, actually there's none or very few like it, seeing as I built it, but you know."

"Well. Each of us have a hobby"

"Yes. In the interests of polite conversation, what are your hobbies?"

"Um" Charles says thinking "I would guess that my hobbies are learning and operating the IS's of my fathers company"

"Fair enough - IS' are freaking cool." Jeff said, setting a monitor on the desk and unfolding it to reveal three screens. Returning to his luggage, he frowned as he pulled out a black wristwatch. "Need a watch?"

"Not really"

"Well then I need to figure out what to do with this then." Jeff said, tossing it on his bed for now. At least he assumed it was his bed - it had his luggage next to it and Charles was sitting on the other one, so if it was Charles' bed it was the guy's own fault. He went back to the desk and put his keyboard and mouse on it.

"Why do you need that much equipment?"

"So when do we have to do something?" Marcus asks

"It's for my computer."

"We have computers here, why do you need it?"

"Our computers here are good for what they're designed for, which is schoolwork, and that's fine. This is my personal computer. Think of it like that computer in the desk is a tractor and this computer here - I call her Tenacity - is a Corvette." Jeff could and did wax eloquent on the subject of computers. "Better processing power, better graphics, better storage options, the teachers can't spy on me when I use it...oh, and it's got a lot of blinking lights on it. It's cooled by freaking liquid nitrogen, which is awesome. It doesn't need it, since I don't overclock, but you know. It's liquid nitrogen, it's inherently awesome."

Jeff hadn't stopped working while talking and was setting up a tripod-type thing in the corner of the room.

"Isn't that a little obsessive? You don't need all that equipment even if you were having a better computer"

Before Jeff can answer, Miss Chifuyu slams the door open. "Listen up A$%holes time for class, same goes for you Lowe and Russel." She snaps before walking back to the home room.

"I thought lunch was next." Jeff said, more to himself than anyone else. He stuck the bundle of cables next to the tower and hurried back to his classroom.

"Well with all of your lollygagging you missed it, congratulations. " she says as Jon walks out of his dorm.

"Unpacking is hardly lollygagging."

She ignores the comment and the group heads back to the classroom. once they all sit down, they see a large manual about the size of "Game of Thrones" entitles "I.S's, what to know and how to not die."

"Now all of you f$%kfaces need to memorize this entire manual by the end of next week, understood?"

"Yes Ms. Orumura." said the class in Unison.

Jeff looked at that. Game Of Thrones lasted about four days when he read it. That was simple enough.

Marcus looks at the book "I can barley read most normal books and you want me to read the next addition of-"

"OH. So the barbaric little american can fly an IS but he can't read? The sound so stereo typical its funny" Alcott says

"If you let me finish I was going to say the book I already read. Jeff, didn't you already read this?"

"seems simple enough." JOn says opening the book.

Jeff twisted around in his seat. "Hey, Rule Britannia, there's this thing called dyslexia. Pipe the f**k down. And yeah I already read that."

"Hay-oooh." Jon comments.

Cecilia stands up and slams her hand on her desk "WHY YOU INSOLENT PIG. YOU ARE A-"

"He's What!?!" Marcus demands "He's my friend and you can't say a damn thing against him because he beat you without piloting an IS once in his life. You are Cecilia Alcott, one of the richest people on the planet with a personal IS, SO STOP BEING A WHINY BITCH ACTING ALL HIGH AND MIGHTY. I HANDED YOU YOUR ASS ONCE AND I CAN DO IT AGAIN IF YOU WANT ME TO"

Cecilia didn't respond to that because she was to busy have her jaw hit the floor

Charles sits uncomfortably in his chair

Lara snapped the pencil she was twirling

AFter the verbal neck snapping Cecilia received, an empty desk shot past her and hit the poor soul behind her, sending them into a wall. "Dammit I missed, Alcott, sit the f#$k down or I won't miss next timme." Ms. Chifuyu says.
