"So now I guess we wait to see what happens." Bobby says to the others.

"Yah bubs lets see what happens"

"Bubs?"

"He says that a lot" Scott says

"I'm picking up on that."

Joystick had been apprehended, according to the TV, while the X-Men were breaking Logan out of jail. The Thunderbolts hadn't stuck around to chat with reporters this time, for whatever reason.

Nor did they attack the Institute, although the Cloudeye drones reappeared over the building. Two days later Osborn still had not announced a replacement member of the Thunderbolts to take Joystick's spot.

Logan watched the news while drinking a bear "Well, it looks like the thunderbolt are loosing there game"

The television feed suddenly cut off, dissolving into static, followed by a message on repeat: "Attention all members of the Xavier Institute. This is Norman Osborn of H.A.M.M.E.R. You are all under arrest. Come out on the front lawn, assume a kneeling posture and place your hands behind your head. You have fifteen minutes to comply."

Logan crushed his beer can in his hand "Well s@#$"

"Can't say I'm surprised." Bobby says rather sarcastically.

Scott comes into the room saying "We have to fight don't we?"

"Looks like it" Logan says

Bobby goes over to a wall, reveals a panel with keys on it, presses some buttons, and commands that the machine gun turrets hidden in the fountain out front, and in the hedges be armed.

Logan looks over "Good call, but they wont last. Get all the x-men together, we need to get this fight away from the school"

"Got it" says scott who then runs to gather everyone up

Logan goes to his office and puts on his uniform

The fifteen minute timer ran down, as the roar of quinjets could be heard approaching. Suddenly (alarmingly, before the quinjets had even got there), the power to the Institute cut off. Auxiliary generators turned it back on quickly, but Internet, phone and satellite service was down entirely.

Xavier, being a telepath, had known they were there but apart from that nobody (not even Logan) had seen the Sentinels before they started firing. They didn't fire at the installation directly, to their credit. Instead, XM25 CDTE grenade launchers were used, airbursting near the autoturrets and tearing most if not all of them apart via shrapnel and concussive burst.

This was immediately followed by the Sentinels, in what amounted to full S.H.I.E.L.D. gear (though most of the eagle insignias had been replaced with the hammer and fist Osborn's men used) blowing down the front gate and advancing through it. Other Sentinels performed essentially the same action at other parts of the grounds, except instead of blowing down the wall they used jumpjets to launch themselves over.

Xavier was a little disoriented by the explosions, once his head stopped ringing <Logan get everyone out NOW>

Logan finished healing and got up <On it Charles> he then starts running through the school leading people to the safe house

The main door of the Xavier Institute was blasted inward in a plume of dust, followed by Sentinels pouring through, weapons up and at the ready, fanning out to search the main building. They were using some sort of device to home in on bioelectric fields; they reliably headed for any students and staff still in the main building.

Logan gets most of the students(that aren't X-Men) out of the school vie the suwer exit.

Scott runs to the main door trying to see what happened and he sees the sentinels. He then starts running in the opposite direction

A few ICER rounds later and Scott was out cold, collapsing.

Logan finds scott and caries him off to a safe place

Scott having fallen almost instantly, the Sentinels fired at Logan as well. Thankfully, Wolverine being something more experienced at combat than Cyclops, he managed to evade the rounds. But now the Sentinels were coming after him. More of them, behind the initial strike team, were setting up matte-black poles with tripods, a bit like anemic mortars except they pointed straight up and weren't hollow. These were being placed near choke points.

Wolverine starts running with Cyclops, but he knew he couldn't stay away forever

<Charles Cyclops is down. We need a distraction to get everyone out>

Xavier happened to be entering Seribor's room at the time Logan sent his message
<I will do all that I can. If worst comes to worst don't come back for me. Just get the kids out>

Xavier puts on the helmet and sends a telapthinc message to all sential solders causeing them to grip there heads in pain

The Sentinels chasing Wolverine and Cyclops stopped, several dropping their weapons as the piercing metallic shriek hit them straight in the brain. Naturally, the Sentinels' progress into the Institute was all but halted as Xavier's mental assault hit them.

Until with an almighty crash the ceiling of the Cerebro room fell in, courtesy of two people Xavier hadn't even known were there despite his telepathy: Citizen V and Songbird. The former of the two advanced on Xavier, stepping off the V-Wing while Songbird sent a barrage of sonic maces at Cerebro's machinery, intending to destroy the delicate computers and circuitry to disable most of Xavier's offensive power.

Xavier was thrown out of his chair and laid on the ground. He looks up at Citizen V and Songbird "How did I not see you?"

Wolverine gets scott to the sewer exit and unsheathes his claws "You bubs are going down" he says almost to himself

"Oh, Charles..." Citizen V picked up Xavier by the neck and hoisted him effortlessly into the air one-handed. "That would be telling." Whirling, he slammed Xavier's head into the side of Cerebro's chair, knocking him out.

Songbird, while this was going on, had smashed up the remains of Cerebro's computing portion. "Well, that's done. What now?"

"That would be 'what now, sir." All Osborn got was for Songbird to roll her eyes at him but he ignored her, keying up his comm. "T-Bolts, move in and engage. Lethal force is authorized."

At the perimeter, a thirty-foot Atlas crushed the iron-bar fence under his feet as he strode in. Havok simply blew a hole in the side of the building, revealing a few students inside. "Sorry, but you're under arrest"

Two new figures, however, entered from the other side, even as CV and Songbird took to the air again. One looked like a Chitauri or Kryptonian version of Iron Man. The other looked like...the Hulk? But the Hulk didn't have bright red skin.

Wolverine ran through the school, he went down to Cerebro's room and opened to find the wreckage "YOU SON OF A BITCH" he yelled

Cyclops groggily started to get up. With a hazy vision he could see Atlas and havoc
