The Changed World

Radioactive Man promptly put up a force field...which Hulk slammed into and rammed both the field and Radioactive Man backwards through a truck and a streetlight.

Songbird let out a yelp of pain after Spider-Man violently ripped the webbing off of her mouth (nearly taking her lips with it, it felt like) and glared at him. "You think? I'd rather not spend the rest of today picking survivors out of the wreckage he'll leave behind."

Wings erupted from her back again and she took to the air. "Also, FYI, all the others who were with you surrendered. You might as well do the same." That said, she flew as fast as she could towards the fight.

The Hulk falls to the ground, creating a small crater in the pavement. He groans, stands up, and falls back down again. After that, it isn't too long before he's just regular old Bruce Banner again.

Spidy stood there for a second "Well if you can't beat um join um" He then starts swinging tword the group

Songbird did a double take in midair at the sight of Hulk turning back into Banner. Radioactive Man, clearing the cobwebs from his head, put up a force field around Banner's crater quickly in case he changed back.

Citizen V looked thoughtful. "Intriguing. Last time it took a fall from a helicarrier to take him out."

Joystick hefted her staff and moved forward, until CV grabbed her shoulder. "What? I want to kill him."

"Too bad. We're not here to kill them."

"But it's the Hulk, can you imagine killing the Hulk?"

CV's response was a backhand to the jaw.

Songbird, hovering in midair, turned to face Spider-Man. "Well, that's over. Get down there with the others." she ordered.

"Yes MOM" Spidy says

Banner gets up, and notices that he is inside a force field. "Ok, what did I break this time? Other than the street, that is."

"Fortunately nothing." Citizen V said. "And now that you're all done resisting arrest, perhaps we can act civilized and not continue to wreck the street?"

Songbird bristled. "And while you're at it, shut the hell up."

"That I can never do. I will always resit that law" Spidy says in defiance

Songbird chose not to perpetuate the argument, while Citizen V and a now normal-sized Atlas began shepherding the detainees onto the gunship.

"Alright, alright, I'm done. I'll go into your airplane, just be careful not to... hurt me."

"Let's go." Chris says, helping Bobby stay on his feet.

The gunship had a central chamber, between the deployment zone (where the T-bolts were sitting) and the cockpit. The gunship, once everyone was loaded on (and the detainment cell was locked), roared to life and lifted off.

"Nice place, for a prison." Chris says to nobody.

Enchantress smiled "Loki would you look at that! Our dear little heroes have been arrested..."

"...and since Thor is responsible for the NYSE explosion we essentially have open season on him" Loki finished.

"Let's get along with the questioning." Cap says.

The gunship transports them to a S.H.I.E.L.D. helicarrier, where each of them are placed in separate cells and kept under guard. By and by, an officer appears to take one of them off and interrogate them.

Meanwhile the Thunderbolts (or, more properly, Citizen V and to a less mature extent Joystick) are interacting with the media.

Cyclops says nothing to his interigater

Wolverine is detaned in maxium hloding for trying to skewer the interigater

Spidy Answers every question in the most smartass way the interigater gives up and leaves him
"YOU DONE?" Spidy asks as he leaves

The interrogators are frustrated with Spidey not telling them his name.

Meanwhile, S.H.I.E.L.D. has issued a bulletin ordering the arrest of Thor. Facial recognition software has registered Wolverine, Shadowcat, Iceman, and Chris, along with anyone else whose face is visible that I forgot. Daredevil and Spider-Man are asked to remove their masks. Cyclops isn't even asked - Havok already identified him as Scott Summers.

After his battle with etragan thor goes back to asgard

Meanwhile S.H.I.L.D HQ gets a message "I would like to talk to my students. Please come to my school, we have much to discuss"

S.H.I.E.L.D. responds that the students are being held until their relation to the bombing of the NYSE can be determined.

To say Erik was not pleased by this would be a gross understatement akin to calling a nuclear weapon a firecracker. "Erik, please do not assume the worst of these people. They do have a job to do after all." Hank McCoy, otherwise known by his codename Beast, attempted to calm his colleague down.

"Thank you Hank. Eric I know you arn't pleased but we can do nothing but go and talk to them. So Eric I ask you, please be patent" Xavior says

"Doing their jobs, hmm? And does that excuse them? Did that excuse the Holocaust, Hank?"

"You are comparing the actions of S.H.I.E.L.D. officers to the Gestapo, of all things, Erik, you must see the absurdity of that!"

The S.H.I.E.L.D. officer again demands that Spidey remove his mask.

Spidy looks up at them. For once completely serios "I dare you. Make me"

A moment later Citizen V, Joystick, Songbird, Radioactive Man and Havok are all standing side to side in front of Spider-Man. None of them look particularly happy, except Joystick who seems to default to a smug grin.

After a minute or so of staring across the room at each other, CV spoke up. "Spider-Man, we took down the Hulk. In five minutes. After fighting all of you. I strongly suggest you reconsider."

"Can you people get this through your thick skulls. I don't show my face for a reason. I wear the mask to protect the people I care about. I don't want my secret identity out there for people to see. If my enamys go after the poeple I care for because they know who I am" Spidy looks down, lost in thought. He looks back up to the group " So No I won't show you, so lead down and kiss my blue ass"
