I'm going to run back into the gun store, grab the competition shotgun, load it and start shooting after I run out of arrows.

That's fine. In fact you'll probably do a heck of a lot better than with the bow; it's impressive as all get out, but against zombies it's hardly the ideal weapon.

Yet it is silent, and won't get you the amount of attention as a shot gun or a machine gun. Usefull for hunting uninflected food.

Or you can, y'know, raid a supermarket. Or use a hunting rifle. A silencer on a hunting rifle would work as well; the infected are attracted by gunfire but a single shot from a rifle won't create nearly as much of a beacon as a shotgun blast or machine-gunning.

Plus, how many Infected do you expect to be in rural areas anyway?

Hey guys if I Go down the ally and get the zombies to run around then we can get them on the ladders of the fire escape.

Already brought them in front of the store. Sam should have easy kills since he is shooting from above the zombies.

No, it has one of those swinging ladder things. And actually, Sagan, the zombies are upwards of 400 feet away from Jason and are focused on the cop and on Gus.

Remember, by all appearances the guy who just puked all over Mathias' shoes is throwing up out of fear. None of you know that vomiting is an initial symptom of the Infection, so let's not shoot the poor sod out of hand, alright? Aside from the fact that it'd be just like me to have him not actually be Infected only for you to shoot him anyway and feel like a bunch of heels after.

There is a very good reason why Mr. Clerk thinks Jason is gonna get himself killed; he's one guy versus a bunch of zombies with perhaps the least practical weapons possible for the job. I strongly advise that one of you guys help him out before he gets seriously wounded, because he will. As I said, Anyone Can Die.

And yeah, you can't stab a zombie's head into liquid. The skull is a wee bit harder to deal with than that and also the zombie in question is trying to give you an unholy makeover.

Gus can't help Jason, because he thinks the zombies are a mob of angry people. He can't get himself to believe in zombies...

Well for starters, him just being bitten doesn't mean he'll zombify. All Player Characters are automatically immune to the virus; you can be killed but you won't zombify.

Looks like it's new character time, unless you want to go back and edit your post, I suppose.

The motorcyclist is named Max Thorn.
Age: 23
Appearance: a full leather suited warrior about 6ft 2inches. Same nearly grey eyes like Jason but he has brown hair. Just picture Jason as a brown haired soldier and you will get Max.
Skills: a military mechanic as well as a local war hero. Able to fire both a hand gun as well as a machine gun.
Habits: fixing things, physically or emotionally doesn't matter just as long as he can fix it. A slight distant stare that makes him come out of it screaming.

Skills: Obviously firearm experience, James spent time in combat but later transferred to the Engineers Corp. James is familiar to death, but it still can get to him.
Personality: James is more of a quiet person when possible, and usually lets his actions speak. He is not, however shy and is quite set in his views.
