Suddenly, the Knight recieves another stab to the gut and his amount of blood goes below the minimum amount required for survival. He falls down, dead.

The army, seeing their champion defeated,turn around and retreat.

"We may have won this day," Bedivere says, dragging the unconscious Cei back to the city. "But they'll be back. Come on, we need to plan more defenses."

Drostan wiped his blade clean on the grass, simultaneously starting a small grassfire since Phoenix had lit the blade on fire. "Let the bastards come, we'll turn them away again an' sooner or later they'll get the idea."

You return to the city just as it's about to rain. Raven runs up to Drostan and says, "You defeated a dangerous man, Uncle! Are you proud?"

The rain extinguishes the grassfire set by Drostan's sword.

"Aye, lass, but I dinnae think that's the last o' those champions they got." Drostan indicated the smoke from the enemy army's campfires. "They'll be at us again before long."

"We may have won today," Merlin says, walking up to the party through the crowd. "But our enemies will persist until they eventually overrun Camelot. I have sent word to King Ban of Benwick and King Bors of Gannes, who are perhaps among the very few rulers who actually acknowledge Arthur as king. They have agreed to send reinforcements to Camelot.

"In the meantime, we have more pressing business. During the battle, Arthur's sword- the one he pulled from the stone- had broken. He will need a new sword. Now I had a dream last night, where I saw a human hand holding a beautiful sword rising out of a lake. This sword gave off a bright light- the light of thirty torches. We must recover it for Arthur."

"Can we get th' sword before the attack starts up again?"

"I have a feeling that the Alliance of the Eleven will try to attack again tomorrow. I have a feeling this lake is about a three day ride from here. We should head out immediately, so pack your things. I trust Cei and Bedivere can keep the enemy army at bay while we're gone." Merlin says.

Drostan took a more cynical view of the abilities of those two, but grudgingly agreed to go.

"Don't worry, Drostan." Merlin says. "Cei and Bedivere are among the bravest and best of all of Arthur's army. If anyone is qualified to keep the enemy at bay, it's those two."

"Well, I would say you aren't too bad at keeping enemies away ether, Drostan." Elvia said admiringly.

"But we will need him for this task." Merlin says.

"Do you need me? I did slay The Black Knight, after all." Elvia said, a little more smugly than needed.

Phoenix appears beside Merlin.

"So we off to the sword?" He asks.

"We are indeed." Merlin says to Phoenix. He turns to Elvia and says, "And yes, you will be needed, so no arguements."

He hands a crystal ball to Bedivere and says, "In case you need to contact me while I'm away."

Bedivere nods and says, "Good luck out there. May we see you again." He then walks off.

"So you know Drostan that spell I cast on your sword has two things we need to talk about." Phoenix says as the group starts out.

"Aye?"

"First off the cost. Second the effect of the spell. Which should we start with?" Phoenix keeping Drostan thinking that he is out for money.

"If ye think I'm about to pay ye money fer that when I dinnae ask for it ye've got another thing comin', lad." Drostan said, scowling fiercely.

"Fine, you want the ability first. As long you don't loss your courage the blade will always light aflame when you draw it from the scabbard and can slightly throw the flame." Phoenix says bragging a little.

"Fine, fine." Drostan said.

"Just five gold coins and you can control the flame with your will." Phoenix offers holding out his hand.

"I dinnae care to do tha', why bother when I've got me great sword in th' first place?"

"Let's go!" Merlin says as he hops onto a horse. Raven follows suit.
