Dark Days of Albion

Behind Dorstan rides his niece Raven atop a black steed.

Drostan whistles an old Pictish tune as he and his horse putter along towards Camelot.

"I'd recocnise that tune anywhere! Drostan my old friend, how are you." Elvia says as she seems to appear out of nowhere.

"I'm quite fine, lass. Oh, this here's me niece, Raven. Raven, this is Elvia, a minstrel I met some time ago."

Raven stops her horse and awkwardly waves, not knowing how this person knows Drostan.

"Me an' Elvia were involved in savin' Arthur from a platter of pagan Picton practitioners." Drostan said, grinning broadly at the alliteration.

"Oh. I've heard stories about what happened that night." Raven turns to Elvia and shyly puts her hand out for a shake. "It's an honor to meet you."

"Charmed and Enchanted." Elvia said.

"So now we've got introductions outta the way," Raven says to Drostan, "Are we gonna continue to the tournament or not?"

"Not without me" says Ivor, coming from behind "long time no see."

"Indeed!"

"Alrigh' let's get on with tha journey shall we? You two need a lift?"

"No, I got a horse. Good for hunting, I should add. You should come over sometime and we can hunt together" Ivor replied.

It takes you 3 days to reach London. By the time you arrive, the tournament has already begun. You look around for any familiar faces when you hear a sudden low hiss from a darkened corner.

(Yeah, you guys were actually heading to London. Sorry if that wasn't clear.)

Drostan's head whipped around as he looked for the source of the noise...

You see an old man standing in a dark corner. "Greetings, old friends." the man says.

"Merlin?" Drostan said, opting for a metaphorical stab in the dark rather than a literal one.

"Well, obviously. How many other random old men do you know?" the old man says.

"Ye'd not believe me if I told ye. How've ye been?"

"I've been good, Sir Drostan." Merlin smiles. He sees Raven and says, "And whom might this be, Drostan?"

"This is Raven, my niece. Lass, this is Merlin, court wizard for King Uther back before he was dead."

"It's a pleasure to meet you." Raven says.

"Likeswise," the old wizard says. He turns back to the party and says, "There is a darkness, here. A darkness in the form of a curious, otherworldly champion clad in shadowy armor. I'm not sure what his intentions are, but something tells me this warrior will stop at nothing to achieve his objective- which is to kill Arthur."

"You are being vague. Perhaps you could tell us a little more about this otherworldly champion"

Elvia agrees.
