"I am aware." Barrek said.
"Whatever happened to subtlety?" Dezenn muttered. Barrek resisted the urge to glare at her; he needed to keep the spell focused...
[Well, Numbers?]

Re: Theology and Thaumaturgy
(I am assuming that it is my call if you find the hidden entrance...)
Behind a old oak tree, the light illuminates a tunnel dug below ground, seeming to lead to the castle. Further inspection showed a hatch a few feet away. "who wants to go first?" Azadar asked.

"Rear, I'll take the fore." Lorenzo pried the hatch open and dived into the hole, hitting the floor as a wolf and taking advantage of his natural night vision. Barrek tapped the side of his head once and the spell deactivated.

Darrien waits for everyone else to enter, and then enters after, closing secret passage behind them.

Re: Theology and Thaumaturgy
In the tunnel, Barrek holds a small globe of magic light to provide sight for him and his companions, while Lorenzo scouts ahead, using his werewolf senses. Dezenn nervously fidgets with a dagger.
Re: Theology and Thaumaturgy
Ahead of the group, the tunnel splits in three directions. The first tunnel to the left is covered in moss and vines. torches are placed along that path, to provide the light needed for the plants. The tunnel in the middle seems quite clean, and may or may not lead up to the castle directly. This tunnel also is lit with torches. The tunnel to the right is not lit. The sound of a waterfall can be heard in that direction... (the left tunnel [the one with moss and vines] is the one that does not have a trap).
Azadar stops in front of the middle tunnel. "Which tunnel leads into the castle? Obviously two tunnels are trapped, to prevent intruders."

Re: Theology and Thaumaturgy
"Obviously? Why could they not all three be trapped?" Barrek said skeptically.
Back at the trapdoor leading down, goblins took quietly to the tunnels, not carrying any lights, for they didn't need them. The tunnel wasn't that dark, at least to goblin retinas.

"Theese tunnels were meant for a quick get-away. If a battle was lost, the soldiers and commanders could flee from the victorious enemy. I think therefore, one of the tunnels is safe."

"Or the trap triggers from one direction only." Lorenzo said thoughtfully, standing back on two legs. "I vote for the middle; if what you say is true it's the most direct route and at any rate it smells better than the other two."
Re: Theology and Thaumaturgy
"Hmm, that seems too simple. Also, what do you categorize as a good smell, Lorenzo? I vote the one on the right. It sounds as though it has water, which is something soldiers and citizens would need if making a getaway from the castle."

(Mycro will be leaving for a two week break from running the forum, thus I will control his characters while he is gone.)
"The middle seems reasonable, for it leads directly to the castle" Azadar said "it seems to be the most traveled judging by it's cleanness compared to the other two passages."

"Alright, as you think best, my friends." Darrien nods, and motions for them to proceed, as he continues to bring up the rear.

Re: Theology and Thaumaturgy
Lorenzo's cutlass slid out of its sheath, blade hissing against the leather. The werewolf advanced cautiously, followed by Barrek, brandishing his staff, and Dezenn, holding a dagger in either hand (and then presumably all the rest of you blokes.)
Re: Theology and Thaumaturgy
Well, Numbers? Any traps or whatnot? Oh, and rolling perception to see if my characters spot anything.

[There are no traps (yet)]
The group walks into a larger space. Around them are empty seats arranged in rows. "It looks like an inside arena" Azadar remarked.

Re: Theology and Thaumaturgy
"An arena? In the middle of an escape corridor? Hmm. That seems more than a little odd. Perhaps there is some clue here as to this area's function."
As the group proceeds, Darrien searches for any sort of script that would explain the room's function or history, or any sort of levers or other devices.
(I'll roll, but it's Numbers' call if I succeed and/or what I see/find, etc.)

Re: Theology and Thaumaturgy
The search reveals that a stone, covered in dust. Wiping the dust off, the writing on the stone reveals that the arena was used for the pleasure of the now dead nobles who once lived in the region. Apparently, servants not working to the nobles satisfaction would be their masters entertainment...
Unknown to the party, the entry of the tunnel through which the party had come got sealed by a heavy wooden gate. (Mycro, you choose if the goblins are sepperated from us or not)

Re: Theology and Thaumaturgy
The goblins are indeed separated from the party.
"I see no reason not to."
