A World of Dust and Souls

Sterling's eyes narrowed. "Well, how does it taste?"

Nisha frowned as she slowly chews on the apple. Don't get her wrong, she is very much savoring the taste, but apple cinnamon on a regular apple? "Apple Cinnamon...How?"

"I am curious as well."

"My Semblance! I finally got a plant to change on the chemical level, instead of just physical!...I mean it's still technically physical. I think. But I didn't used to be able to do that!"

Nisha finishes eating the apple down to the core, murmuring with a full mouth, "I wonder if you can make it miso soup flavor"

"I-" Sienna blinked, taking a moment to consider her answer, "...probably? What's even in it?"

Just before Nisha could answer, the door to the team room exploded open and Tyson walked in.

With three boxes of food in hand. He struggled to get them to the counter before unceremoniously dropping them down and landing flat on his face to pant like a dog.

Slowly, he raised a hand, displaying a crumpled up piece of paper.

"I... got... everything... on the list... please... no more Nisha." he panted.

"Tyson eat this you'll like it." An apple bounced off his shoulder, rolling across his back before sprouting small spidery twig-legs from its stem in order to keep from actually touching the floor.

Tyson lifted his head as far as he dared, but he grabbed hold of the apple and took a bite.

Then his eyes widened.

"Did this apple have legs and why does it taste like cinnamon?"

"Apples don't have legs, those were sticks. And it tastes like cinnamon because my Semblance is AWESOME!" Sienna emphasized the awesome by punching her fist into the air above her head.

"I... wasn't going to argue that." Tyson says, "By the way Sterling, I need you to sign these." he continues, holding two papers.

Nisha face grew a very very happy smile as she jumps in the air and runs at Tyson, jumping up and landing on Tyson's back. She grabs hold of his neck and hugs tightly, "THANK YOU TYSON! You're the best!" She dashes off of him and scoops up one of the boxes, "Im cooking tonight!" Runs straight for the kitchen

Tyson didn't move, still face down on the floor. Then, like a zombie, he started to crawl over to Sterling. He shoved the papers in his leaders face before flopping back to the floor.

"She's going to kill me... I think she's actually going to kill me tonight."

Sterling looks through the papers. "what are these for?" he asks as two swords appear, pick up tyson by the back of his neck and his knees, and carry him over to a chair.

"Tyson you said that yesterday." Sienna pulled out another apple seed and it rapidly grew into a fully-formed apple, which she tossed to Sterling. "Here. That one has extra cinnamon 'cause you have Kevlar for taste buds or something."

Sterling caught the apple and took a bite. "splendid, how long did it take you to figure this out?"

"My ability to remember the obvious is being hindered by the constant brain damage I'm being forced to endure," Tyson groans, "The papers are our next mission by the way. You need to sign them."

"Tyson!" yelled Nisha from the kitchen, "Can I borrow some of your fire dust? Im going to need it for this meal Im prepping."

"Never mind, she might actually kill you. And us." Sienna looked more than a little perturbed.

Sterling signs the papers. "oh i"m sure it will be fine. "

Tyson reached into his jacket and pulled out a small crystal of fire dust. He dragged himself off the chair and slowly lumbered into the kitchen.

"Here," he said, handing over the dust, "Go wild."

Nisha grabbed the crystal gleefully, placing it on a cutting board. She took out a hammer and brings it down upon the crystal with the intention of smashing it into dust.

"...You know what sounds good and not explosive? Pizza. We should order some."

'yes as team leader I endorse this decision."

Nisha then put a slab of white meat onto a pan with a thin layer of oil, making loud sizzling pop noises. She seasoned it with a variety of spices, flipping the meat over to cook both sides to rare. Then she got a pinch full of the fire duct and sprinkled it onto the chicken.
